@harryssingapore do mix up a delish drink, and even though I prefer my spirits straight, I can certainly appreciate a competently crafted cocktail. Harry’s limited edition Martell Osmanthus is undoubtedly a tasty tipple, and is definitely made for the ladies.⠀
â €
One part of Martell is mixed with a dash of aromatic osmanthus tea, a bit of simple syrup, and tempered with a splash of tonic water for that fizzy, refreshing element. ‘Tis a simple cocktail, but an infinitely imbibe-able one. The floral fragrances of the tea complement the rich, smooth bitterness of the cognac, while the syrup silences any excessive bitterness from any of the Martell Osmanthus’ components.⠀
â €
Better yet, this cocktail is going for a reasonable sixteen bucks a glass, but it’s only twenty two for two! Yup, this might just be the only time I’m feelin’ 22. It’s a ravishingly refreshing cocktail, and it’s absolutely perfect for hen-dos or a girls night out.⠀

Thank you for the invite, @harryssingapore & @burpple!

And finally, we have @harryssingapore Beer Battered Fish & Chips. A single gargantuan slab of unidentified white fish is encased inside that ethereally airy beer batter, and it is DUMMY THICC. No seriously, the fish fillet is thicker than your average steak. The fish is firm & flaky, which makes it the ideal subject for fish & chips, but it’s not as moist and oily as I was expecting. In fact, it can be a little dry in some spots.⠀
â €
Unlike the other entrées, the fish & chips being insufficiently salted isn’t that big if an issue due to the presence of the tartar sauce. I’ve always been an aficionado of tartar sauce; something about the combo of mayonnaise, lemon juice, pickles & dill just appeals to me on a deep level. Alas, there just isn’t enough tartar sauce to go around.⠀
â €
The other important component of fish & chips are done excellently. The chips were a thing of beauty, and they were spiced & salted sensationally. So good, in fact, that we had no qualms about scarfing down every last fry.â €

And for the last time (for now), thank you so much for hosting us @harryssingapore & @burpple!

Mushrooms & truffle oil belong on every single pizza, and @harryssingapore Mushroom & Truffle flatbread pizza belongs on everyone’s dinner table. This was doubtlessly the tastiest item during the Eatup, and I loved every bite of it.⠀
â €
Even though the pizza had so much oil on it that America invaded it, I absolutely loved the intense, appetising aroma of the truffle oil. As it is a flatbread pizza, the dough is a pleasant blend of bready & crispy, an intriguing texture that’s perfect for munching on between swigs of alcohol. While I do wish that there was more cheese on this pizza, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.⠀
â €
What you’re gonna thoroughly enjoy is the fact that flatbread pizzas like this mushroom & truffle one are 1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond! Pizzas, pastas and mains are all covered with Burpple Beyond, so there’s no better place to get your dining & drinking on at!⠀

@harryssingapore does a rather faithful rendition of the timeless brunch classic of Steak & Eggs. Other than the dish suffering from the same problem of being under salted as the rest during the Eatup, this was a beautiful beef & egg dish.â €
â €
A thick, juicy slab of Angus sirloin is grilled to a picture perfect medium rare. Even though it’s not the most tender cut of steak (it’s a sirloin, duh), it’s tender enough while giving you that soul satisfying chew that screams ‘I’m eating a big ass hunk of meat, are you not entertained?!’ to the primal parts of your brain. The sear is spectacular, and the secret steak sauce spooned onto the sirloin ain’t too bad either.⠀
â €
The egg is fried absolutely perfectly, and the runny yolk lubricates the steak & fries with its creaminess. It’s not really necessary, but hey the more the merrier. While the dressing on the side salad was delish enough to made veggies edible, it was a tad too wet. Still an indispensable part of this succulent steak dish though. Pair this brunch classic with one of Harry’s brilliant beer cocktails for an ebullient start (or end) to your day.⠀

Once again, thank you so much for hosting me @harryssingapore & @burpple!

The Prawn & Seaweed Aglio Olio ($27++) pasta suffered the same predicament of being under seasoned, just like most of the other dishes during our Eatup. However, since said Eatup, I have been assured that @harryssingapore has made the vitally necessary revisions to this quintessential pasta dish.â €
â €
It’s actually a good dish if it’s the seasoning is spot on. Plump, ocean fresh tiger prawns grace the twirly mound of al dente spaghetti, and it’s garnished with some furikake and a good helping of chili. All that’s needed is enough garlic to kill Dracula from a mile away, and a good dose of high quality extra virgin olive oil & salt.⠀
â €
Not gonna lie, I was shocked to discover that this pasta costs close to thirty bucks. But that’s where #burpplebeyond comes in clutch with the one-for-one deal! Harry’s is definitely one of the more generous Burpple Beyond partners, allowing you to get that sweet 1-for-1 deal on all pizzas, pastas AND mains! That’s right, almost all entrées save for their Asian selections are fair game! ⠀

Once again, thanks for the hospitality @harryssingapore & @burpple!

I’m actually pretty amazed at the number of restaurants that do achingly tender, fall-off-the bone-cleanly barbecued pork ribs. Back when I was a kid, juicy tender ribs could only be found at Tony Roma’s & Dan Ryan’s. But then again, I shouldn’t be that surprised, because it is 2022, and the standards expected of food have skyrocketed in the last decade or so.⠀
â €
@harryssingapore Dry Rubbed Baby Back Ribs ($33++) meats-sorry, meets, that high standard quite well, boasting meat that tears apart effortlessly & slides right off the bone. Glazed in a barbecue sauce, this truly tender pork is flanked by coleslaw and a good helping of Harry’s fabulous French fries. While the succulence & texture of the pork was impeccable, it was a little lacklustre taste-wise.⠀
â €
If you want to do a spectacular rack of ribs, you gotta go extremely loud. Take the sweetness, smokiness & saltiness expected of a rack of BBQ ribs and turn it up to eleven. Unfortunately, Harry’s rendition is kind of muted, and it wasn’t nearly as impactful as it could’ve been. To be fair, all Harry’s outlets are adjusting & working out the kinks of the all new menu & recipes that have been developed, so I’d expect fantastic food from them in the very near future.⠀
â €
While these baby back ribs may not be as tasty as they could be right now, their scintillating succulence has got me rapping Baby Got Back. Here at Harry’s, she’s got the rack AND the back, and imma risk it all to come back. Many thanks for having us, @harryssingapore & @burpple!
