The Linguine Al Granchio ($26++) is a staple in my meals at La Nonna. However, I found my most recent plate a little different from how it used to be - the arrabiata sauce was much thinner, with almost a soup-like consistency. It was heavy on the herbs but lacked the natural sweetness of crab. The generous addition of garlic and roasted tomatoes made the dish more palatable, I much prefer the older rendition!

Have had many plates of pasta at La Nonna, and their handmade pasta wins me over every single time! Their lunch time 1-for-1 promotion is a huge draw too. This plate of Pappardelle Coda de Blue ($28++) features a simple tomato sauce seasoned with rosemary. The oxtail ragout was extremely tender and fell apart easily. It’s a little on the salty side, but each mouthful was a burst of flavour!!

Yum??? Not the best tiramisu around but definitely above average! Love the lightness of the mascarpone cream layer interspersed with light bits of sponge cake! 🤤🤤 Would have preferred a stronger liquor taste, but this was definitely a very nice way to end the meal 👍🏻👍🏻

Braised beef cheeks was fork-tender and truly melt-in your-mouth good! Simmered in red wine sauce, this was definitely a nicely done beef cheek with a good proportion of collagenous and fatty parts! Wished that the flavour of the sauce could have been more hearty and richer, with stronger hints of red wine, and the mashed parsnip could seasoned to match the roasted carrots and tomatoes better! Overall, definitely a satisfying beef cheek though a little pricey, but thank goodness for their lunch time 1-for-1 special or 50% off on eatigo! 👍🏻👍🏻

Homemade spinach fettuccine with chicken breast, sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella cubes in pesto Genovese sauce 🤤🤤 This was actually pretty darn good (even with the olives that actually tasted pretty fine though I hate olives)! Loved that the fettuccine was al dente and had such a nice bite to it, which is rare amidst all the overdone fettuccines around, and the tongue of spinach went really well with the pesto sauce that wasn’t overly cloying too! Generous serving of ingredients with a shout-out to the sun-dried tomatoes that gave it a nice twang, though would have appreciated a slightly less dry cut of chicken. Overall, a nice Italian Restaurant that dishes good pizzas and pastas, with 1-for-1 deals at lunch or 50% deals on Eatigo! 👍🏻👍🏻

If I don’t get the La Nonna truffle pizza, I get the Linguine (~$26) pasta 🍝 Served in a thick tomato cream base sauce and topped with shredded crab meat, this pasta was filling but not too jelak 😋 I liked how the pasta wasn’t done too al dente and the sauce wasn’t one dimensional and lacklustre (like many pasta places!)👌🏻
