LINO’s new outlet at Forum, boost a more extensive menu with exclusive cocktail selections.

An interesting dish will be Pollo Al Mattone ($36) which means ‘roast chicken under a brick. Though it isn’t served under a brick, the succulent chicken is prepared using the traditional Italian method of pan-roasting, giving it a crispy chicken skin.

Quintessential orders will be their signature 12-inch sourdough crust pizza such as Burrata ($26) and Pancetta Pizza ($28). The latter combines Swiss Smoked farmer bacon, tender duck-fat seared potatoes and fresh basil pesto. Topped with fior di latte (traditional cow’s milk mozzarella) Parmesan Reggiano cheese, break the runny egg in the middle and spread it evenly.

Well, another must try, apart from the famed Burrata pizza, is probably this mushroom Truffle Pizza that we saw from almost every other table. The strong truffle fragrance permeates through the air as soon as it was laid on our table. Lino's very generous with the truffle spread on the pizza!!! We loved the shrooms and truffle mix. The crust-to-shrooms ratio was perfect, not too thick and bready. I didnt feel overly stuffed with carbs after my meal and that's an awesome feeling post pizza-meal! It's served with a sunny side up in the centre - only if it's more oozy than cooked, it'd be closer to perfect. Nevertheless, this was an otherwise pretty awesome meal to start a lazy noon. It's made so much more affordable with Burpple beyond 1-1! Without it, we'll come back for their set-meal - pretty value worth too at $24++ for 1 appetizer, 1 main and 1 dessert!

I've a weak spot for bread pudding and I caved in immediately when I saw this on the menu! As pictured, it looks a lot more different from the typical English bread pudding. Here, the 'bread' is baked till crisp - the croissant-like edges are crusty and I would have preferred it less crusty and more pudding-ish as a whole. I also wish there were more vanilla sauce to soak through the pudding! At $6.00+, this was pretty decent but not at all close to the ones you find in buffets ..

With indoor and alfresco seating, offer dining experience extensive menu, cafe bites, kid friendly menu and cocktails.

The second outlet of LINO Restaurant and Café has recently opened at Forum The Shopping Mall along the Orchard Road strip, giving diners a go-to dining destination for a casual and wholesome Italian fare. This new outlet boasts an extensive menu of café bites, outlet-exclusive restaurant dishes and a cocktail programme.

Helmed by Cluster Head Chef Dalton Fong, this particular outlet serves up outlet-exclusive Antipasti of hot and cold starters, Primi Piati of pasta and risotto, Secondi of fish and meat, Pizza and Dolci of desserts. Diners can start off with the Smoked Salmon Trout ($22) that are house-smoked and presented with dollops of yuzu mayonnaise and dressed with fresh chives and dill before finishing with a drizzle of olive oil. Not forgetting one of the stars of the evening, the beautifully presented Octopus ($34) is char-grilled and paired with Palermo sweet pepper, garlic, capers and parsley.

Moving onto the entrees, we shared the Pollo Al Mattone ($36) of a whole French corn-fed yellow spring chicken that has butterflied, and pan roasted under a brick till the skin crisped up. The cooked chicken is served in its own jus with sauteed baby potatoes, caramelized onions for the sweetness, baby spinach and a lemon wedge to add a bit of acidity to cut through the richness. From the pasta menu, we had the Carbonara Chittara ($26) that uses the Chitarra pasta of square cut thick egg pasta cooked in a housemade truffle cream prosciutto crumble and finished with a sous vide egg and Parmesan Reggiano cheese.

What’s not to love for their house-made Bomboloni ($12 for 2 pieces), an excellent dessert that has a soft bite on the outside and fluffy on the inside, filled with a hazelnut cocoa crème and crunchy feuilletine bits.
