The Grilled pork is nicely smoked, marinated and very tender. Comes with a nice light but salty spicy sauce.

Some places does grilled pork till it gets tough and overcooked, but this was grilled to perfection.

Place can get crowded on weekends.

We tried the Tacos with Moroccan Chicken fillings ($20), which fans of Mexican food will be delighted with! 💯 Taco shells that are crisp on the edges encases a generous portion of well-seasoned chicken cubes 🐓, accompanied by refreshing coleslaw, creamy guacamole 🥑, sweet baked beans, spicy jalapeños 🌶, chipotle sauce & melted cheese 🧀! Certainly an indulgent treat that promises a burst of flavours in every bite! 😋😋😋 Served with crunchy tortilla chips with a light dust of paprika seasoning - perfect for munching! ✌🏻

There is also a choice of pulled pork 🐖, sauteed mushrooms 🍄, ribeye steak (+$10) 🥩 or mixed fillings (+$2). If you like it in a fuss-free wrap, go for their burrito ($23) that would be equally loaded. 🌯

Went there last month (4th April) to try the watermelon rose cake before the start of Circuit Breaker and I wasn't disappointed! The cream is very light and with the watermelon chunks, the cake was so yummy that I cannot stop eating!

The espresso tonic is refreshing and slightly fizzy! Thus the combination wasn't jelak at all And now I crave for it again hah. If only this cafe is located under my block!

This is served with all-natural collagen soup simmered over charcoal for 10 hours using a family secret recipe.

Very unique silken tofu. When I show the picture to my sister they thot it was tofu covered with squid ink. 😄

Taste unique, outside very crispy, inside still maintain the texture of the silky tofu. You can dip into mayonnaise if you like !

Tastes great and portion is substantial. Value for money! Soup is herbal type and tasty.

Flower Power contains broccoli falafel, tahini yogurt, red onions, cucumbers & tomatoes. Had this with a sesame bagel. The spices in the falafel gave good flavour, and the charred bits at the sides were extra nice. It was moist, with a minced texture (rather than a purée) that I liked!

Warthog contains smoked pork belly, red cabbage slaw & BBQ sauce. This is currently our favourite Novena option! The pork belly had the perfect ratio of lean meat to fat ratio, where the fatty portion wasn’t too much / surfeiting. The cabbage slaw was sour & crunchy, and together with the BBQ sauce, was a good accompaniment to the pork belly.

Doughnuts on Sunday only starting from 1pm.

The doughnuts are fluffy and tangy - like those old school bakery fluffy doughnut but with a sour tang. Flavours change every 2-3 weeks (I think) and there are 2-3 flavours each time.

I have tried 11 flavours (Cinnamon sugar, sumac sugar, cardamon sugar, earl grey glazed, vanilla glazed with sesame, almond and cinnamon, strawberry glazed, chocolate glazed with seasalt, maple glazed, mixed berries glazed, cinnamon glazed, passion fruit glazed with desiccated coconut) and my favourite is maple glazed.

Best doughnuts in Singapore for me but oh so elusive. Be prepared to queue, and wait and wait and sometimes they get sold out.

Coming here of course you need to try their prata also. I got the egg cheese prata which was crispy and you could taste the cheese in every bites.

Checked out the new Kamome Bakery which had opened its doors at Goldhill Plaza; a Japanese bakery which serves up bread baked fresh on a daily basis whilst also offering soups and stews alongside drinks such as coffee and tea as well.

Amongst the few bakes we had gotten, the Pork Katsu Sandwich is probably the one that stood out a bit more with its light and fluffy bread encasing the Pork Katsu which comes sufficiently thick, slathered with Katsu sauce for a slight sweetness. A shame that the bakes are served straight out of the shelves without an option of having them warmed up — think of it as a Pullman Bakery or Johan with seats; though that makes it a rather good option for a quiet hangout with just bread and coffee at hand.
