Mom misses the popiah at this unpretentious shop located at a rather ulu corner of coronation plaza, so here we are!
Their crowd favourite popiah is packed to the brim with ingredients including sweet sauce, stewed turnips, chunky hard boiled eggs, beansprouts, cucumber and carrot strips and the iconic crunchy rice bits!

From My Cosy Corner
Amazing portion of chicken teriyaki bento.
Fluffy rice, sliced watermelon and salad.
Highly recommended!
Back with my Mee Siam adventure! 🥢
I wonder if the shop name came after shortlisting the shop? As the name suggests, the shop does exist in a cozy corner with little seats. Not that I have to wait long for a seat, as many are takeaway orders.
A satisfying Mee Siam! Gravy was thick, chilli does pack a punch. Though I personally prefer a more sour base, will request for more lime the next time.
Can’t wait to have my next Mee Siam!
I would suggest to go for the popiah and skip their mains as their mains are pretty expensive. The popiah was really filling and the ingredients were filled to the brim. Will be back for their popiah again😋👍
Cosy corner don’t just make a mean popiah ,
The mee siam is one of the best I have had .
Well balanced between that tangy Assam and just a slight wee bit of coconut - not too much . The gravy also has the right consistency - neither too watery nor too thick .
I have tasted too many mee Siams to know a really good one and none can come close to this standard .
Mee siam was also served piping hot and all the condiments were fresh .
Eating at this place makes you feel like home .
The popiah skin was thin, and I liked the crispy bits which gave a nice crunch. It actually tasted quite clean and not too heavy, but the turnips could have been slightly juicier. Overall, there’s a good proportion of skin, sauce and ingredients. Not bad but also not memorable. Also, the chili version is apparently very spicy according to my friend, so opt for the non-spicy version if you have a low spice tolerance.
