Korean BBQ has always been that iconic meal featured in the K Drama which shows the stars enjoying that perfectly cooked meat with fat melting so seductively or the crispy skin exterior from that slab of meat is the part that youāre most excited for! Recently, there is a new Korean BBQ concept which marries together the 2 ingredients which is an everlasting pairing of flavours and that is Apple & Pork! Yes, thatās right itās Apple Samgyupsal! They have 3 locations to choose from but the one that opens till late is in Taman Desa.. We ordered the Apple Platter (RM88) that includes 120g of Apple Samgyupsal, 120g Apple Moksal, 120g Apple Hanjungsal, apple wrap( slices of apple), sausage and apple salad with other accompaniments which is free flow.. Itās always great fun to watch the cooking process been done for you and the servers are really attentive with taking extra care in wrapping the apple wraps with your preferred cut of meat and with its special sauce on top of it! It truly helps to exemplify your eating experience! Truly worth it! The pork was perfectly cooked till tender with a crispy exterior and the fattiness of it help to balance the sweetness and the crunchy acidic onions that is wrapped around it! The platter is great for 2 person to share! You can also order other sides to add on if you still have space for it! Not to miss is their signature drink; Apple Magoli!
The Wang Galbi was one of my favourite meats of the night. Tender and so flavourful!
Crunchy sweet apple slices with the flavourful tender pork meat. Topped it up with a dash of sesame oil or apple honey.
Thereās unlimited side dishes offered. My favourite would be their house made stir fry kimchi and the sesame salad!
Pair your meal with their signature Apple Makgeolli, made with 100% fresh apple juice. Best to drink when itās still cold.
Their Joomuk Bap shouldnāt be missed! These rice balls were so yummy. Rice, pork and seaweed. I couldnāt stop eating them.
Apple Samgyupsal just opened their new outlet at Jaya One! We had the Apple Platter (RM88) that comes with 3 types of meat, sausage, tteok and apple slices.
You know that feeling when you entered a restaurant, you picked the nearest spot where the waiter and waitress can see you clearly, and your saliva starts spinning in your mouth between your tongue and you now remember the taste of your favorite food... like a childhood memory.... thatās exactly how I feel about KyoChon.
The price are affordable, but the taste/texture of the chicken are the best. Suitable for those who loves Chicken. The menu, the place is ideal for solo, couples, family, friends, colleagues, tinder dates, teachers, etc...
I would suggest if this is your first time in KyoChon, order:
1. Soy Garlic Wingette and Drummette (8 pcs)
2. Red Pepper Wingette and Drummette (12 pcs)
And pair them with Garlic Fried Rice. š¤
The best Korean Fried Chicken in Town!
Not as good as it used to be. Ingredients has been cut down. Ordered it with beef, but only 2 small strips of beef & 2 slices of ė”.. The rest is basically the thick soup & kimchi. Didn't actually satisfy my cravings for Korean food... š£
Food is pretty good š!! Fried chicken boleh lawan Kyochon.. I'm not really a salad person, but I literally ate more than half of the huge bowl!
The ramyun's run-of-the-mill, but that pork belly featured with it goes down with the silky smoothness of pure gold (I don't know what I'm saying, gold isn't even smooth, but you get the drift). The soup's been elevated with fresh kimchi, but that's about it. On the other hand, Tiger Beer sets go for RM58 (for five mugs) at happy hour (between 5-9pm)! Also recommended by my drinking buddies are the Pork Mantou and Galbi Quesadillas.
