Have been coming here quite often and I really love the selection of tea. I feel healthy here too 😋
I can’t describe how much I love this place, yes their tea selection is amazing, price also quite steep haha but I’m paying for the experience, ambience and top up $5 for my “little room”.
They sell main food too but usually I only order Jelly cos it’s just adds to the vibe.
This is 茶, but with 茶艺 it comes with a price slightly higher than a cafe.
Take my money omg, I really love how we can chit chat and read a book at this space.
There’s WiFi, GrabPay, aircon.
Tea Chapter has a tea appreciation course which takes place over several days, but if you don’t have that much time (like me), they also have a tea appreciation workshop that takes place over several hours. There are two options and I went for the one that lets me sample six teas and cost $60+
The workshop consisted of:
- the history of tea: this was lecture style and focused on the history of tea in China
- hands-on section on how to drink and appreciate the different types of tea: the six types of tea we drank were white, yellow, oolong (made using a zisha pot, the tea was their imperial golden cassia), black (red guan yin), green (longjing), and dark (pu-er).
- free time for us to try brewing the tea. They gave us tea eggs and a variety of tea cookies to go with the tea. There didn’t seem to be a time limit so it was a good time to have a chat with a friend over tea.
The Shifu was very knowledgable and made the entire workshop interesting and fun. He speaks both English and Chinese so you can opt to have the workshop in either language.
I would recommend this to people looking for a fun way to get into tea appreciation.
Not many people will really appreciate the art of brewing a good cup of Chinese tea. But the staff at Tea Chapter are more than happy to provide a step-by-step explanation of authentic tea appreciation.
I always love to visit a teahouse and make my own tea as an afternoon past-time. It kind of brings me back to my memories at Jiufen and Maokong at Taipei, where I was able to sip some good tea with a majestic and stunning view right in front of me. It’s like communicating with nature to seek that inner peace. The only difference here, to be honest, is that I have to try harder to find that tranquility, because it can get quite noisy because of the buzzing among the guests.
One of those things that I will also order, apart from the tea, is their Chapter 7 Cookies (S$5.00). It comes with seven pieces of biscuits, each made of a different type of tea flavour. They definitely do not scrimp on the ingredients to make their biscuits distinct in tea flavours. My favourite is the brownish piece, and that is a rose tea biscuit.
Whether with good company or by myself, I think I can easily spend hours here for that zen.

Hope you all had a yay-TGIF today! My visit to @tea.chapter was fun! More details over the weekend, on the blog. 😉💕
So whenever one want to go for tea, we will usually think of some English tea, with smoked salmon, scones and cakes. One would not bother to think of having tea in a traditional teahouse. Tea Chapter have been around for the longest time, with great and extensive Chinese tea-selection. Stepping into the teahouse, is like a blast to the past, of everything traditional and oriental. Removing shoes are a must, and keeping your volume down too. The setting is so comfortable and relaxing, that I felt like I am in some ancient Chinese drama setting, acting out a scene. Not sure how to make the perfect tea? Don't worry, the staff there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will teach you exactly how to appreciate and the art of pouring, which quite frankly astound me. The long process is somewhat therapeutic, and I appreciate every step of it. Sit in one of the many different settings offered, and what we choose were seats by the window, and on the floor. Gorgeous, peaceful, and highly recommended if you want to spend your afternoon slightly different.
I wonder who is the genius who think of infusing the aromatic tea into the egg. Another @sugar_singapore purchase.
If you want to try a different approach to your Sunday teabreak. Go down to tea chapter and zenn the day away..
