It’s bonding time with my colleagues and ex-colleague over great food and good company during the school holi week.

This popular nasi lemak eatery [that’s near my workplace] serves a hearty, delicious and affordable meal that I thoroughly enjoy!!

chicken cutlet set takeaway ($5.20)

the saba fish is hUge today!!

chicken can be a bit dry without the sauce! i prefer the teriyaki fish :)

omg i think…i prefer this over their fried chicken nasi lemak. never knew teriyaki sauce would go so well with nasi lemak

idk why this isn’t on the menu but it should be because the chicken is soo tender and crispy🍗 much more worth than the wings set

Queue moved pretty fast during lunch time. This set came with the fragrant basmati nasi lemak rice, one chicken wing, one fried egg, some cucumbers, peanuts and ikan bilis and the signature chili. The rice was light and fragrant, and went really well with the sweet chili sauce and the peanut ikan bilis mix, which was fresh and crispy, not soggy. The fried egg and cucumber was complemented with the chili which wasn’t too spicy. The chicken wing was fried with lots of batter and was crispy and delicious.

One of the most consistent nasi lemaks and IMO better than the branded ones .

Rice is fragrant and cooked well and chilli is not too sweet with a spicy kick .

Portions are generous and the condiments are fresh .

The set comes with ikan billis , fried egg and nasi kuning fish .

The additional otah was really lovely both in flavour and texture .

My go-to every single time when I just need to grab quick lunch in CBD. It will never go wrong, and the set has sped up some decision-making time. Love the texture of the rice and it’s fragrance! Chili is good too, spicy enough for me.

Will try the chicken cutlet next time

Pretty decent for a no frills nasi lemak.

Ikan bills , Ikan kuning and chilli done ✅
Skip the otah - it was too floury.

The flavour of the rice was good but a better quality rice would have improved the dish from 6.5 /10 to 8/10 😊

Otherwise a great place for a no frills late night supper 😊

You get to hang around with the Nus undergrads - and feel the young vibes 🥳

Decent quality Nasi Lemak with plenty of chilli. Avoid comparing this with hawker ones. Just enjoy all cutlets and fried up items (peanuts & ikan Billis are crispy). The fish set we tried last time was not as good as these 2 sets (chicken cutlets Set $5.90 & Royale Set $7.90)

Here I had the sunny side up (Altho I prefer omelette with nasi lemak!), fish cake, fish tempura and fried chicken wing. The chicken wing is a runaway winner. Super love the crispy skin yet juicy flesh. The sambal tasted a little burnt which was kinda disappointing. But when you're a hungry, hangry, hippo and nothing else seems to be open, this is a pretty good choice. .
