Decent satay bee hoon ($4) but feel that quantity is too small. It would be good if larger portion offered
Ordered this Boon Tong Kee Kway Chap ($4.70). It is delicious and filling which is worth the Michelin Guide it has won.
After wanting to try so long but always close, finally managed to try when it opened.
I ordered the $5 version and it really taste delicious. The amount of ingredients is generous such as pork lard, egg, fish cake and have the wok hey.
I will give this a try again but downside is that they do not have fixed operation hour.
Order the Black Bean Noodle ($4.50) from a China Chinese stall.
Decent quality and affordable at hawker price. Too bad the stall closing for a month plus for holiday I believe
And how could we not try the Szechuan Spicy Wanton (10 pcs) ($6) after seeing many food review about it? They were truly ๅๅ จๅ็พ (perfect in every way) - tangy, vinegary, and spicy hot in all the right spots. The skin was smooth and the meat inside was tender, but the sauce is definitely the winner. It give the perfect kick to the wantons. I literally drink off the vinegar mixture as a soup because its just so nice. Make sure to get a plate of these!
These buns have a smooth and slightly thick skin, encasing succulent marinated meat that's soupy on the inside. It was a perfect little bite of heaven.
Steamed Mini Bun (7 pcs) ($5.50)

"Lau Goh Teochew Chye Thow kway"
The owner may be deaf, but the food speaks for itself! Be prepared to point at the menu and get ready to be impressed by their skills. We got the Mixed Carrot Cake ($6) and this dish has everything going for it - the wok hei, the crisp texture, and the delicious eggy flavour. It's neatly and flatly served, topped with a sprinkle of pepper and spring onion, and has just the right amount of spiciness to bring out more flavour. And if you can't decide between the black and white ones, why not get both? One is sweet, while the other is savoury - the perfect balance of flavours!
Ah, the joy of hawker hopping never gets old, especially when you discover hidden gems like these! Our latest venture took us to Zion Riverside Food Centre where we found some delicious treats.

Quality wise, the chicken was quite juicy and the skin was slightly crispy. The soup was also ok only.
Despite that I'd only come here with the 1 for 1 deal because it's quite expensive for coffeeshop food.
Famously owned by a deaf couple, this store serves up carrot cake with dangerous levels of wok hei. The outer layer of the dish is mouthwateringly charred while the inside is still soft.
๐ Tip: it might look like there's no queue here because they go by a counter system. So order this FIRST before queueing for the other stalls!๐
I'm not a fan of intestines but the slivers of melt-in-your-mouth pork and tofu were good stuff. I don't know what they did to the kuay chap sauce they were marinating in, but it's something that brings this store's offerings to another level.
A must try here because it's queues are not AS LONG as the rest of the stores here.
