Serving zi char fare at Simpang Bedok, Hong Kong Street Family restaurant is a good option if you’re craving Chinese food, from simple dishes like fried rice to set meals for your family dinners. The fried beef hor fun in bean sauce was so flavourful, with a superb wok hei fragrance and taste to it. The staff were efficient, friendly, and the menu was overall very affordable priced.

Overall, the dishes we had were sumptuous and exceeded my expectations. Well-executed by the chefs, the fresh ingredients used definitely shined through, especially for the seafood! Special mention goes out to their tasty Salted Egg Crab, which was one of the best I had so far. Made from scratch using fresh salted eggs for the sauce, it certainly justify the extra SGD3 top-up.👍

Despite the name it's actually hongshaorou, and a superb rendition at that. Well balanced sweet and savoury flavours, despite the Thin Broth and pork was perfectly tender. I have to admit, it's better than my grandma's
Meat was smoky, and well coated in their home made teriyaki which tasted unique. However pork was chewy

Marinated in their secret marinade, it tastes more like a very well Grilled chicken Wing at a chalet rather than some thing you're used to from a restaurant. It was juicy and slightly crispy on the skin side.
Btw their sambal belachan is pretty hot, even tho they provide you with a generous portion go easy on it

Savoury sauce which in sync with the mini fried mantou.
Highly recommended!
Deep fried big meat crab which was dipped in salted egg batter.
Interesting taste, juicy sweet crab meat inside & salted egg coating added some texture.

WOW Skewer Bowl came with 2 skewers — chicken thigh and pork meatball. Also in the bowl was some homemade achar, an onsen egg, and a bed of rice.

Well at just $3, one cannot expect much but, wow! The grain is perfect! Superb Grainy texture! That’s how a friedrice should be folks! Granted it might be a tad salty for some, but for heavy palate pple, this will suit u!

Probably it was peak hour and we waited about 40mins for food to be served..
But.. other than they dun have bigger fish that's over 1kg, everything was so delicious.
Specially recommend this seafood bittergourd soup. You'll see more ingredients than soup. And it's not MSG-laden.
It’s texture is unlike any others where the crispy, fluffy skin really gives you that all important bite! Granted, it’s slightly oily and can get jelak, but before you reach that stage, it definitely satisfying!
