Fancy a wallet-friendly dim sum place that's open 24/7? Kuai San Dian Xin (块三点心) is the place for you. True to the name of the shop, every dim sum is sold at $1.30 per basket! The wide variety of items available is a big plus, although the quality can be somewhat inconsistent. My favourite has to be their siew mai. Each piece is plump and well seasoned, so satisfying to eat! For the price point, it's definitely a go-to place for a quick supper fix. You get what you pay for, so don't go in expecting something from a high-end restaurant. 😂⠀

We visited the Jurong lakeside branch at Saturday dinner time, and they were only left with 2 fried items and no cheecheongfan. So it was quite a limited range from which we could choose from. I will say the fried seafood roll we got wasn't nice? It tasted like frozen food items haha. The porridge is like rice mixed in water kind, and not the mushy congee type that I would have preferred. No complains about the siewmai. Generally it’s not that bad...

Siew Mai looked the best and it was one of the best dishes
The pork ribs was really good, it was tender and you taste the black bean
Spinach dumpling was okay- shrimp tasted fresh

Har Gao looked so sad and the shrimp didn’t taste fresh...
Meanwhile the Chee Cheong Fun- I think you are better of without it

Totalling up the 6 items ordered, that’s just $7.80 from this 24/7 stall.
Be prepared for snaking (but thankfully fast-moving) Q though.

Slightly glazed, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and beautifully crunchy; saturated with salt, oil and a numbing blast of Sichuan peppercorn. I like the bony, superhot, almost burned la zi ji at some other restaurants in town, But the la zi ji at Paradise Dynasty is splendid. The experience is akin to a treasure hunt, chopsticks darting through the mountain of chiles for stray nuggets of meat, an activity you will pursue like Davy Jones, long after the last bit of chicken has definitely disappeared.

These are the mandatory must-order signature colorful Xiao Long Baos (SGD$16.80) comprising of 8 different flavours. There was even a proper sequence to eat them- starting with Original to Ginseng Chicken to Foie Gras to Black Truffle; followed by Cheesey, Crab Roe, Garlic and Szechuan. Each flavour was distinct, unique, delicious and pork tender.
