Standard is quite wel maintained across all branches. Chicken is well marinated and soft and juicy. Curry gravy is nice and chilli has ikan bilis bits in it. Always comforting meal.
Available in most food courts. Sauce is on the sweeter side but you still get the savoury smoky taste. The chicken drumstick was well grilled and meat was tender. Ordered the Ayam Panggang set (grilled chicken) $6.50, comes with Omelette and rice. Cabbage is additional $0.80. Bbq squid set comes with cabbage only. On my plate is the huge chicken drumstick and fish grilled to perfection and topped with their signature black sweet sauce, egg omelette slice, and a huge pile of soft stewed cabbage 😍 The curry chicken is pretty tender and flavourful too 😉 An extremely addictive, sinful and delicious combination which satisfied our tummies well!

This is at Kopitiam itself and they serve big YUMMYlicious plates of grilled chicken drenched in some sweet sauce that cost just $6.50! It is cheap and good! From Stall 2 of Plaza Singapura’s Kopitiam is this stalls that sells really economical Indonesian BBQ stuff. Though fascinating to watch how they dip the grilled chicken legs into the tub of Kecap sauce, I still preferred to buy their Ayam Goreng Set (S$5.50) instead, which comes in the deep fried variant of the chicken leg.
The curry they use are relatively bland and mild, but turn out to be a good companion with their steamed rice. Those who like it more spicy can get their sambal chilli sauce at no extra cost.
Given the portion versus the price, I believe this will be one of the shortlisted choices when I am at the Plaza Singapura region during meal times.
The Ayam panggang here is to die for. Ask for extra curry & help yourself to the sambal chili that is free flow. Yummy!
Ayam Panggang (Grilled Chicken) $5.30 - for this set you get the rice, a bowl of soup, an omelette and a large chicken thigh. Love the curry and the black sauce! The grilled chicken is so tender and juicy.

I never seem to win. How to when the enemy is the glistening caramelised bbq chicken coated with kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) that is just unformidable with the aromatic curry sauce that's drizzled on warm rice and a fluffy omelette. Hai.

I have been patronising this stall in the Plaza Singapura food court since my teenage days. For me, it's the epitome of cheap and hearty food.
The portion of the ayam or fish panggang here are always big even for 18 year old @ondeh.ondeh and I love their creamy and lemak rice which goes well with the curry. The chilli here is sweet and savoury with bits of savoury ikan billis.
Tip: You know someone's a regular if he asks for more of their special in-house black sauce to go with the grilled items. That black gold is simply addictive!

The char grilled chicken skin soaked in the "more sweet than savoury" sauce brings me back in time. Over the years, they still continue to leave their chilli sambal with ikan bilis outside for the diners to add as much as they like. 👍
