More Reviews of good food at Supply & Demand (Esplanade Mall)

Pasta with crabmeats, scallops, kombu caviar is an interesting combo. Bacon w tomato n cheese risotto was an good match. And the lovely ice cream worth taking photo-strawberry ice cream

This is a must try dish if you're at Supply & Demand! The flavours are truly amazing.

Super delish and good for sharing if you want to get a few mains to share with your brunch date!

Crabmeat and seared scallops homemade tagliatelle. Fresh seafood and a mild creamy sauce. Scallops melt in your mouth. Capers give a nice tart kick.

The pricier nature of this dish probably came from the freshly made tagliatelle pasta (and maybe the prawns, I’m not sure). The portion is much bigger than what appears in this picture haha (my bad). Overall, this was a pretty yummy dish,m that I might order again, barring the better options on the menu (such as the Crab and Scallop pasta [$33++]). The pasta was a tad too al dente for my liking. Not sure what to make of the kombu, but the prawn could definitely be tasted in the sauce (and by itself). There were three medium- to large-sized prawns that were very juicy and fresh. The sauce was very much to my liking, bearing a resemblance to upgraded prawn mee but with a flavour not as prawny and strong. It was quite savoury and had me reaching for more. Would recommend to try definitely, it’s a clean dish. But if you prefer a deeper and stronger flavour, I’ll advise going for the Crab and Scallop equivalent instead.

Food here is pricey, so I thought ordering a pizza would be worth it, and true enough it was! I liked how think and crisp the crust was. And I loved the spicy garlic shrimp flavour, it was spicy and pleasant to taste, and I would have orders a whole of that in hindsight. The smoked salmon was not bad, but I do prefer the flavour from baker and cook instead. But I think the real winner of the place is really the ambience. During a beautiful weather, it’s really worth choosing a rooftop seating to admire the CBD skyline of Singapore. It’s also a romantic place for couples for drinks, and a friendly environment to celebrate birthdays! There were many friends who had the birthday song played and special cake served to their friends, a rather pleasant sight to witness!
Would come back to try the pasta because it looked so delicious in the menu! However, it would have to wait because the price may burn a hole in the wallet😮

Great food, great ambience, lovely outdoor seating options and plus point is the rooftop bar! Food options are wide - good place for vegan eaters as well, staff are friendly and can help to customize orders to meet your needs.

Supply & Demand is an Italian trattoria located at our performing arts centre, the iconic Esplanade and they have a variety of dishes in their menu that include pastas, pizzas and Asian delights. For that day, we decided to go for their Carbonara ($14/$19), a two-in-one pizza consisting of The Morning After and Truffle & Egg ($22/$26 with additional $2.50 for the two flavours) and a sharing portion of the cheesy fries. The spaghetti in the carbonara was done al dente style with just the perfect bite and it latches onto the cream and egg yolk sauce to give every slurp an enjoyable one. As for the pizza flavours, The Morning After is the restaurant’s signature pizza with a tomato sauce base and layered with mozzarella, bacon, mushrooms and a soft egg while the black truffle paste’s fragrance from the Truffle & Egg will hit you instantly when it reaches the table. Supply & Demand is definitely a spot that you need to check out when you are deciding on dining options around Esplanade.

The nocturnal half of the pizza was very unique!!!

Garlic truffle fries had nice truffle taste too!

BIG YESSS FOR THIS!!! Super nice truffle mushroom combo done well!!!

Usually prefer thick-crust pizza but this was delicious! The thin crust was so fragrant and made the flavours of the ingredients stood out even more - definitely the highlight of our meal. Other than that, I would definitely prefer shoestring truffle fries instead of the ones here. Risotto was too cheesy, not in a good way.

Back to basics and with this - Carbonara Classico (without cream). Stuck with the classic and opted for the spaghetti instead of the penne. There is also an option to top up for fresh pasta or stuffed ravioli. Being a purist, I’ve always preferred carbonara without cream, this really allows each ingredient from the minimalist recipe to shine through. And as ironic as it sounds, it is still a pasta dish with that smooth glossy creamy sauce, with that hint of smokiness from the bacon. Not surprisingly, egg yolks are the unsung heroes of carbonara and they are responsible for the creaminess in the sauce and that luxurious feeling you get with each mouthful without feeling greasy. Glad the pasta did justice to the amazing sauce - perfect al denté. Buon appetito!

$14 - tasting portion

This is my first time to supply and demand at esplanade branch, I love their orchard outlet but was disappointed with the lack of experience service by esplanade. The server did not understand English well enough but does try his best and a group of other servers are gossiping and using their phones at the side to help. It took 5 - 10 mins for the manager to step in. Food wise, it is pretty meh for the price:/ kinda disappointing but I guess you pay for the location and ambience by marina bay.

I liked how the mushrooms were pureed so it tasted like fresh pasta in mushroom soup - a really comforting combination.

The last time I tried this place was more than 5 years ago when it started as a peruvian restaurant. Kinda glad it is still surviving though sad it has become more mainstream by its italian menu.

Really like these 2 flavours!! The yolk is runny and you can never go wrong with the Parma Ham 😍😍😍

It was tasty but not really worth the money. This is the tasting portion!

Loved the combination of chorizo sausage slices, cheese fries (also very fresh, fyi) and spicy sauce- very palatable and a good way to start the meal! Although The Morning After was their signature pizza, I thought it was just alright, nothing exceptional. The truffle and egg flavour (Tartufo e uovo) was well done though, flavorful and packs a punch. Quality of the food is there, will be back for the pastas!
