This set also comes with a plate of assorted sashim. The cuts are thick and fresh and already in my tummy by the time the mains came. Don't be disappointed if you think the cod fish looks small. The taste is really really good. Charred with a good smoky taste and the skin is yummy. Really nicer than the grill fish place at takashimaya basement. The charamsuh is has a decent amount of ingredients with prawns, a bean and chicken pieces. I will eat here again.

Ordered the pork sukiyaki which came with good portion of tender meat and fresh vegetables. Salmon sashimi was fresh and ramen from Tampopo is a must try too! Rich broth and portion of noodles is just nice.

⭐️ 4/5

Always a fan of unagi but while the unagi portion was pretty generous, I felt that the unagi had lots of tiny bones. I get that we can eat the soft bones in there but I don’t really seem to experience this issue when I consume the unagi in other restaurants...

USA Premium Tonkatsu $23.90

Very well balanced meal with just the right amount of everything. Tonkatsu was tender and juicy, perfectly fried. Sauce made it more refreshing and appetising even till the end of the meal. Extremely worth for the set. Miso soup completed the meal with its homey and heartening taste. Queued for 5-10 mins on a Friday evening around 7PM.

Doing our usual and over-ordering. These were pretty decent although the fried stuff were too oily...meats were fresh though, so I guess if you don't mind the oil (I do!), they're pretty tasty otherwise.

16.80++ omg died and went to ramen heaven. Can't go wrong with this. Is this what a perfect ramen egg taste like??? Everything was 💯💯💯

The fried pork ribs were served separately. The mildly spiced and thick flavourful pork bones soup base has a nice milky and light flavour. The thin Kyushu-style ramen noodles were great with just the right springy texture.

The upon noodles are springy enough. The curry sauce is thick and flavorful though I found it a bit too salty. The carrot and beef slices are superbly tender. Service was good. will come back again to eat this or try other dishes.

Grilled Chicken Cold Ramen with Sesame Sauce ($18)
Available in @TakashimayaSC
Not the usual that one would order at a ramen outlet.

Short grain rice is slowly simmered in dashi broth, soaking in all that umami flavours. Sliced cabbage and carrot are added into the mix with each contributing their distinct sweetness. The egg does a great job at "binding" everything together and provides such smoothness and bite, along with the shimeiji stalks. Ok, that's all.

When done right, while sugar is added to the sauce, teriyaki is not supposed to be overly sweet – subtle honeyed notes find the perfect match in the brininess of soy sauce. This rendition uses juicy chicken thigh that is first oven-baked, then glazed with teriyaki, and served with kewpie mayonnaise. Ok, that's all.

Clear, thick soup with a touch of spicy. Absolutely love the pairing. P.S you'll regret it if you don't top up with a soft-boiled egg

I had my fave cod fish + Japanese rice. Love this tender piece of cod fish, albeit a little small and a few bones.

Have been going to tampopo for a long time now! Love their ramen and tonkatsu, consistent standards and my go to for comfort Japanese food!

Filled with the classic vanilla custard cream, the puff's lightly powdered crust was slightly thicker than the last time I tried but still make for a good and delectable treat.

Creamy soup infused with the sweetness of the corn and black pork Shabu so perfect!

Spicy Cod Roe Rice Ball 明太子 ($2.50), crunchy, salty, sweet in taste. Filling too.

Nothing great about the cheese but the scallops were truly fresh Hokkaido scallops with egg roe still intact so 👍 you could also taste and spot the mentaiko so 👍👍// on a side note I would not recommend the noodles here (ramen/udon/soba)

Probably the nth time I'm eating this but still good! Always order mini bowl (around $11+) so I can order other food but I usually end up feeling sad when I'm done with the bowl and regret not ordering more. Starchy yummy broth, mild spiciness with pretty generous amount of crab meat and mushroom, with springy noodles.
