this was really fragrant omg😋 it’s like the almond cream chinese dessert, but less creamy so it’s drinkable
creamy & doesn’t have the “artificial” salted egg taste. not jelak either!! i had to add a fried egg because…i love eggs…
after many years... this still tastes as good as it did in 2015!! got their classic salted egg chicken rice + egg ($6.50) and i love how their sauce is still as creamy and sweet! chicken remained crispy throughout, although if you prefer those with stronger salted egg taste this isnt for you!
It really is as good as people say. It's sweet but not overly so, it's very creamy but not jelat. The salted egg taste takes a back seat, but there's sufficient complexity as well as heat too

This famous salted egg chicken rice does have its highs and lows. A generous portion of salted egg sauce was slathered over the chicken which was surprisingly juicy. While the sauce was generous in quantity, it suffered in its quality and could use a tad bit more salt. I would have also preferred a runny egg to combine flavours.
Still, with a great price point, I would return if I am in the area to try their other dishes as well.

The salted egg yolk gravy that took up almost half of the plate, very generous with the serving! We finished every drop of that creamy sweet sauce. Very affordable at just $5.90!

Looks super rich but tasted well balanced! Not overwhelming at all. Maybe a bit too sweet towards the end but I already finished my food. Highly recommended. Yummy lunch option!

$5.70 for creamy butter chicken with rice. It's kinda mid range pricing as compared to hawker food which ranges from $3 to $5 for this portion.
The food is well done but the sauce was off today. It is supposed to be sweeter but the flavour was flat. Maybe the chef is having a bad day :(
You can also choose to add dishes to your cooked food. Very popular dining place and always full during lunch time!
We dropped by Sim Lim one random day (yes, a mall which we haven’t stepped into for years) and had this Salted Egg Chicken from Taste Good. The taste was well, passable.
This is definitely worth my calories, the salted egg is totally awesome.. Its creamy and the spice hits your tongue, the chicken is very soft and not those over fried and hard.
Definitely recommend people to order this dish.

The portion is quite big so it's soo worth the price. The salted egg sauce is as always superb. It's savory, a bit milky-taste, and a bit spicy as well. The variations of spice really excites the exprience of eating it! Totally recommends!

Diced chicken covered with super thick salted egg sauce that was flavourful on a bed of warm, fluffy rice.
The sauce was so good that I’ll want it on every spoonful of rice.
