This was a nice balance of milk and matcha. Unlike some other cafes that have a overwhelming milk taste, this was earthy but pleasant.

Served with chunky mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and kale, the slow cooked beef cheek ($24+) was tender. The meat itself was very flavourful and paired well with the brown sauce. The breadcrumbs helped to give some texture to the meal!

An excellent way to cool off the sweltering tropical heat. I’m no kakigori expert but the ice here is very fine and not the typical coarseness you can find in ice kacang and ABC. Uji matcha is gao (rich) version of matcha and it comes with azuki beans and drizzled with uji matcha sauce. It is really popular so it may be hard to get a seat during peak periods.

A hunt for authentic crepes led me to the quaint restaurant specialized in crepes of a wonderful assortment from savory to sweet. Smoked salmon and sour cream, being safe options for all things sandwichy were nothing of special mention but the buckwheat crepe had a unique earthy and nutty flavor which served as a special base for the otherwise boring toppings. $20.90 for a crepe was a little expensive though but for a taste of authentic crepe with apple cider (top with a pretty french waitress!) was a pleasant experience after a hectic day of work. :)

From this new establishment within Hotel Bencoolen, run by the same folks behind Deli’s Kitchen at Sunshine Plaza that is known for their stellar Roast Beef Donburi. At just $17, the Uni Roast Beef Udon comes as a steal for uni lovers, with the noodles drenched in uni cream, alongside roast beef and uni. Patrons can get to pick between hot and cold Udon for all Udon items, and can opt for small (200g), medium (300g) and large (400g) sizes β€” a salad and soup buffet can also be added at $7. Uni cream is pretty creamy and savoury; not too heavy on its own, while we absolutely loved the noodles that was not too broad, thus not too starchy or filling whilst carrying enough bite. The roast beef was tender without being too gamey, while the uni was smooth, creamy and briny. Offering so many types of Udon at an affordable price, a spot I would not mind visiting again!

If you like cheese and mentaiko, you’ll love this! The cheese has a slightly β€˜smoky’ taste from the grilling and isn’t too hard - which means when you mix everything, you can get cheese and mentaiko on all the noodles. It also comes with an onsen egg, which went well with the other two ingredients.

You can add more noodles for free but I thought that the regular serving was more than enough.

Kind of surprised 😲 by the way the bubbles were formed on top of the drink. Just need to be patient.

Custardy, creamy but you still have that bread crust bite to it, really mild rum taste to it. not the sweetest, served with vanilla sauce 4/5

WHAT ON EARTH IS MOLTEN IN HERE?? THE ACCOMPANYING WHIPPED CREAM IS IT 🀬 but anyway the ice cream was quite good and the mains other people ordered looked quite promising so I might come again for food but for never again for their desserts.

Lazy lounging and indulgent brunches at @wheelersyard πŸš²πŸ’™πŸš² are what holidays are for! πŸ˜‹πŸ”

Really liked the juicy wagyu beef patty with char grilled bits and runny onsen egg, but it got a little cloying at the end since I was having it by myself... πŸ™Š I didn't add in the sauce, which I felt wasn't as rich and smoky as I had thought it would be. Overall, it was a yummy burger, but for about $25 a pop, it's a little pricey for a beef patty vs a regular good ole steak.

Luckily I had the 1-for-1 promo by #burpplebeyond so all was good! βœŒπŸ»πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“

This is like french breakfast with an asian twist- the silky scrambled egg contains chili and leek, and is paired with bacons and a croissant to make a hearty breakfast. Something that I would like to highlight would be the croissant; flaky exterior and the dough is slightly on the chewy side, elevating the texture of the croissant. Overall, not too bad a dish but lack the surprise factor for me. Many cafes can easily replicate this dish.

Had fluffy pancake ($24), truffle fries ($15), PS. harding club ($26), iced mocha ($6.5) and lychee & lime soda.
I enjoyed the passion fruit sauce that comes with the pancake but not the texture of the pancake - it is a bit too thick for my liking. The truffle fries smells good but doesnt have very strong truffle taste.
A bit pricey and very crowded and busy during weekend so be prepared to wait.
