If you’re a meat lover, this Brotzeitplatte ($98++) from @brotzeit.sg, which is their classic Brotzeit Platter with Pork Schnitzel, is bound to delight you! 😍😍😍 This is especially for the pork lovers - fret not those who can’t take gamey meats like beef & lamb - everything here on the plate are ‘safe’! 👌🏻
.
Stealing the show (& also standing & proud in the middle of the platter) is their signature Crispy Over-Roasted Pork Knuckle! 💕 Beautifully roasted to the perfect crisp on the exterior, cutting it unveils a huge chunk of meat that is very well-seasoned! 🤤🤤🤤 While some areas (especially those near the exterior) could have been more succulent, the inner ones were definitely moist & tender! 👍🏻 Liked that it was not too oily so it was really rather delish. Of course, the thick crackling skin with the perfect crunch was the highlight! 🔥
.
No German meal is complete without German sausages! 🌭 Here you ae treated to a selection - spicy chicken 🌶, pork cheese 🧀 (my favourite as it was oozing cheese!), Nurnberger & Thuringer (pork sausages marinated with different herbs & spices). Sink your teeth into their schnitzel, which features 2 lightly-battered pieces of lean pork chop. 🐖 Goes well with the plethora of accompanying sauces. 😋
.
The platter is served with 2 sides of your choice, of which we chose the Oven-roasted Cherry Tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅, & the Seasonal Vegetables with Thyme (mainly the tri-coloured bell peppers). ✌🏻 If you are going all out with a cheat meal, you can opt for their spicy potato wedges or rosti 🥔, or even top up $2++ for their Truffle Mashed Potato or Truffle Fries.🍟
.
We also added a serving of Sauerkraut (Braised White German Cabbage, $6++) 😋, whose tangy flavours helped to balance out the heaviness of the meats. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
.
Certainly good for sharing! 💯 Spent a great night chatting with my boss & colleagues over these meats, beers & fruit teas. 🍻 Thanks boss for the treat! ❤

Loads of food, for the sides I got Rosti which is very good! And topped up $2 for truffle fries. The ribs were very tough, the pork knuckle skin was very crisp and the meat was flavourful. For the sausages, one of them was very spicy.

The DIY rösti offered here let's you customise. (Base + 1 Protein + 2 Toppings + 1 Sauce)

For the base there's Original ($18) and Cheesy ($20). I chose the Original topped with Crispy Fried Streaky Bacon, Poached Egg, Sautéed Baby Spinach and Mustard Hollandaise.

The rösti was good. Crispy edges, firm well cooked shredded pieces of potato and well seasoned. Bacon wasn't crispy which made me a little disappointed. Poached Egg was perfectly cooked with the yolk oozing out when cut and the egg had a slight sweet taste. Baby Spinach was sautéed with onions. Did not quite like it as it reminded me of the Chinese minced garlic stired fried vegetables. Mustard Hollandaise also did not suit me. Maybe I'll get the Classic Hollandaise the next time.

Overall the base of the rösti was good. Taste and look-wise.

The luxurious Brotzeit Grillplatte sundried tomato garlic butter, classic Thüringer snail sausages, bacon strips, tender chicken fillets and a pair of minced beef and pork skewers. That's not all, it is also served with a side of grilled corn, choice of fries or potato wedges and two sauces including garlic mayo and a spicy dip. One of my favourites definitely goes to minced beef and pork skewer. It was very juicy and tender with a bit of charred taste. 😋

A taste of tropics with flavours of summer cocktail specials, Brotzeit Grillplatte, White Wine Infused Mussels, Grouper Fish “Müllerin Art” with Almond Butter and more! Generous serving of an entire grouper fish that is approx 1kg!! The simplicity of the grouper fish seasoned and pan-seared to perfection with melted almond butter. The fish meat was moist with no fishy smell or taste. Recommended to share with your family or friends. .

Me and my girlfriend ordered a plate of german pork knuckle to share among us. The meat is not very soft but has a good bite to it, not too tough. The crispy skin of the pork knuckle is crackling crispy at some areas, but for other areas it can be rather hard to bite into. I suspect its because the pork knuckles are cooked in batches, placed aside and only reheated before serving. The portion feeds 3, too much of the meat can turn you off easily, so i recommend having other dishes with it. I don’t believe this is a good representation of the famous german pork knuckle but if you have the craving for it, maybe this can help, just maybe.

mesculun base w mozzy cheese w vine-ripened and sundried tomatoes, grilled zucchini, olives, pesto sauce and garlic croutons!! ($17)

firstly i dont like mesculun so i was SAD when it arrived hahahahaha cuz they don’t state it on the menu!! the mozzy bites were kinda tasteless and lacked texture :( but the pesto helped to alleviate the flavour!! found myself wondering WHY DID I GET A SALAD!! esp when there was so much more nicer stuff eg their pork sausages which i have tried before and loved + their mash is to die for!!!

the fladen ($13) rly helped to save this meal!! it’s an oven baked thin rye topped with rocket, mushrooms, cheese, balsamic and ofc ham!! (can choose salmon or spinach too) i loved the crispness of the base and it was super flavorful!!

for me i wld nvr go back for the salad but that’s only bc i’m rly not a salad person (JK ordered a seafood salad that had smoked salmon, seared tuna and prawns he quite enjoyed his) but i loved the fladen and have ordered it every single time i’m here 🤤 (it’s like a lighter version of pizza!!!!) wld give 8/10 for the fladen :~)

We ordered the platter for 4 pax (98++), which had a whole pork knuckle, ribs, a variety of sausages and 2 sides. If you have a bigger group you can go for the platter for 6 which comes with a roast chicken as well! I really enjoyed the pork knuckle which didn’t feel too fatty and had super crispy skin. The sausages were also tasty without being too salty or fatty! Worth the calories I would say.

Strudel ($13)-crisp, apple was stewed nicely, pretty good 4/5

No summertime sadness with the centrepiece of Brotzeit's seasonal Summer Specials menu — featuring a mountain of meat made out of grilled chicken and pork fillets, garlic pork sausages, and minced beef/pork skewers. Served with grilled vegetables, your choice of fries or wedges, along with ketchup and mayo. Carnivores come on down and savour this with a stein(or 4) from now till Sunday, 20 August, because fleisch ist krieg, jawohl?

Surprised, didn't expect Brotzeit which is a German restaurant to do a good fish. And I was told that fish are in fact common in German cuisine.
🔸
The barramundi was pan seared in freshly made and fragrant herb sauce, then served on a bed of noodles. Crispy skin with tender moist flesh, and those noodles had an amazing texture. It isn't like pasta, it's instead light and eggy. Tossed in a fragrant herb sauce. Love it.

the germans make some quality egg noodles actually! specially imported to complete the whole german dining experience at @brotzeitsg, the noodles are tossed in a lightest creamy fragrant herb sauce and colorful medley of diced veg. all done so tamely so to introduce the real gem for this dish - fillet of barramundi skin-on seared to a crisp perfection ($32). this is the freshest you can get because @brotzeitsg source freshly from a sustainable local source. so cheers for supporting local produce and one hell of a good slice of fish.

already a decade of bringing germany closer to our shore, you probably know @brotzeitsg for its pork knuckle and beer. but this smashing 15 ingredients super salad may just be a game changer. hearty mix of avocado slices, blueberries, raspberries, mandarin oranges (ridiculously pulpy btw!), feta cheese and mixed nuts in lighest dressing guarantees you every individual flavor coming together in a mouthful. eat your greens now and you have my permission to partake the knuckle.

Seriously, what's there to say about Brotzeit's signature pork knuckles that hasn't already been said?

Ridiculously loud, crackling skin cocoons a massive mound of pork flesh that's been simply yet succinctly marinated and is just bursting with so much savory, meaty deliciousness. The flesh of the knuckle is tremendously tender and crumbles easily under the light assault of a fork (or six). In fact, Group Executive Chef Wolfgang Ranner simply pulled out the bone from the pork knuckle with his bare hands. And the best part? The bone came out cleaner than a whistle!

As for the skin, it was so overtly crisp that when Chef Ranner pulled the bone out, it crackled in protest at being separated from the bone. The skin is so crispy in texture that it's almost akin to eating old school prawn crackers, and the fat underneath had been so thoroughly rendered out that only a thin layer remained, and it promptly melts in your mouth.

When at Brotzeit, do as the Germans do and get their signature pork knuckles. Don't deny yourself, you deserve to treat yourself to this knuckle biter.

I'd like to give a massive thank you to @brotzeitsg and @burpple for inviting me to this amazing Eatup, and to Jenny of @foodcultpr for hosting!

Featuring their signature Crispy Oven Roasted Pork Knuckle, Oven Roasted Chicken, Honey Bavarian Ribs and Berner Sausages. It was impossible to select a favourite! Said to feed 6 pax, but it could easily satisfy 8-10. 😍Thanks @burpple for extending the invite and @foodcultpr @jennytanwrites for hosting us :) #meatfeast #meatlover #burpple #burppletastemaker #german

Certainly one of the more memorable Barramundi dishes I have had of late, Brotzeit’s Pan Seared Barramundi ($32) was spot on.

Not always about the wholesome meats, the German concept casual dining restaurant serves up a surprisingly good Barramundi fillet that was seared to perfection. What’s more, the Barramundi they source are from a sustainable local fish farm so safety as well as quality are ensured. The bed of flat egg noodles tossed in their freshly made herb sauce was also a fantastic accompaniment as the light yet flavourful cream base didn’t overtake or overwhelm the freshness of the plump fish; while the medley of vegetables added great textures especially with the burst of tangy-sweetness from the tomatoes. And going back to the superbly done fish, it was all moist, flaky and complete with a crisp skin. Overall, a nice sharing portion for 2-3.

This was a hosted meal courtesy of @brotzeitsg. Thank you Jenny of FoodCult for hosting us and of course, Burpple for extending the invite!

While you can't escape from hearty meats in a German restaurant (typical Bavarian), the chef introduced a lighter touch with dishes such as this Pan Seared Barramundi ($32), which featured locally-sourced fish that was incredibly fresh, evident in the plump, firm meat, with a beautifully crisp skin. It sat atop a bed of egg noodles enveloped in a fragrant cream herb sauce. This was a hosted tasting by @brotzeitsg, courtesy of @burpple. #burpple #burppletastemaker

...served up to you on a wooden platter. Brotzeit's absolutely mental Wunderplatte (Wonder Platter) officially serves 6, but could very well feed a whole squad of 10. Consisting of a stonking big oven roasted chicken, some absolutely delectable Honey Bavarian Ribs, Berner Sausages and of course, Brotzeit's legendary Signature Crispy Oven Roasted Pork Knuckle. I'll cover the chicken and the pork knuckle in another review, but this one is just for the sausage and the ribs.

The Berner Sausages never failed to bring joy to newly appointed Group Executive Chef Wolfgang Ranner when he was a wee lad, and now it's bringing a whole lotta joy to this big boy. Long frankfurters are sliced lengthwise into half, stuffed with Emmental cheese before it's wrapped up with strips of bacon. Heck, each of the holy trinity that makes up a Berner sausage is already infallible on its own, but when combined together, it effectively becomes the Triforce. You don't even need to be a small boy/girl to appreciate the utter deliciousness of these franks, because frankly, they're simply stellar.

As for the ribs, they were steamed with German beer before being finished off in the oven, and every bite into the flesh which just sensually slides off the bone with no fuss or muss brings a whole festival of flavors to your palette. You get the savory meatiness of the superbly seasoned pork, while the sweetness of the honey glaze on the exterior is the supportive significant other. Interestingly enough, due to the beer being cooked into the ribs, each bite has a mildly floral note to it, and occasionally you can just about pick out the faint hoppiness of the beer that's been cooked into the ribs.

If you think that's as good as it gets, wait till I tell you about the chicken and the pork knuckles. Hoo baby.

I'd like to give a massive thank you to @brotzeitsg and @burpple for inviting me to this amazing Eatup!
