($7) I ordered small size for 1 to 2 pax. For their pork chop and old fashioned french fries was slightly hard texture to chew thru and dry aftertaste as I felt that they deep friend in advance before placing order. It's one of best selling side beside roasted and steamed chicken rice.

($6) I managed to get drumstick as their roasted chicken is sold out once I order lol :") which is good part for chicken that I always get default part such as chicken breast or wings on chicken rice stall or store. unless you order drumstick or other part of chicken. The drumstick was quite tender and a bit of oily. I saw a lot of steamed chicken than roasted chicken hanging inside store. The rice was quite fragrant but slightly oily for me. But then my friend drank their soup finish included mine too :") but the soup otherwise got a bit salty flavour.

One of the few zichar/ chinese restaurants that we frequent since young, dining at chin chin eating house again after so long really brings back feelings of nostalgia.😍 Though famed for their chicken rice, their other dishes such as hainanese pork chop and prawn roll are our absolute favourites that we never fail to get!🍲 Have to admit the food quality has declined slightly over the years, but it nonetheless serves up pretty decent Hainanese fare.👍 Furthermore, dining here is more of a fond memory to us and this restaurant will always hold a special place in our hearts.☺️

Flipping through the menu and I noticed that they have many stir fry dishes, including the chicken rice that most people go there for. As their roasted chicken was sold out for the day, we got the traditional Hainanese poached chicken, which was perhaps my preferred choice these days. From my seated position, I am able to see that the staff actually submerge the cooked chickens into a cold water bath before it gets hung up, waiting to be chopped. This dipping into cold water stops the chicken from cooking further and results in a gelatinous layer underneath the skin, which is commonly found in Hainanese chicken rice. Overall, not the best I’ve eaten, but definitely a decent one.
