The Assorted Bowl ($16.90) comes with 12 slices of assorted seafood on top of flavoured Japanese rice. The sashimi slices are fresh, thick and full of natural sweetness. The rice is equally impressive - Iβm not sure what they did to the rice but it is so flavourful that I did not need any additional sauce to go with the sashimi. This is one delicious and value-for-money sashimi bowl that you can find under a HDB flat at Tanjong Pagar Plaza.
Relatively affordable and yummy Japanese dons. The regular salmon came with 8 pieces of juicy salmon pieces. Not the best cuts (and one had a bone) but decent and enjoyable for the price! While most places serve standard plain sushi rice, love that their rendition comes with fragrant rice and a whole range of sides - chewy jellyfish, wakame, and crunchy pickles.
The rice was flavoured with distinct but not overpowering truffle, with added delights from tobiko, sesame, and chopped mushrooms. Added tobiko (+$2) for extra textural contrast and pops of briny juiciness.

Their truffle infused rice never fails to amaze me especially with itβs sweet-smelling fragrant, rather than pungency. The addition of tobiko roe provided a symphony of textures β with surprising pops in between takes. π₯· The salmon was neither the silkiest nor smoothest one Iβve had but for this price, still acceptable lah! πΆβπ«οΈ

Iβm not quite sure what the hallmark of good tuna is but mine tasted slightly fishy and stale. As you can see from the pic it was kindaaa breaking apart alrdy. :/

Think the cooked bowls tastes better! Really liked their aburi salmon too so perhaps get that instead. π

When my bf first showed me a photo of his Salmon Don from this little eatery and raved about how good the rice was, I had doubts that it would surpass those of Japanese restaurants (like hello, who serves good dons in plastic bowls that look like they belong in food courts?), and that it was probably just rice mixed with some darn good furikake that can be bought from the supermarket.
Boy was I wrong! This humble little shop really paid attention to their rice, a fragrant truffle mushroom flavor laced with crunchy ebiko. My favorite from this place is still their Salmon Sashimi Don ($10.90, 8 slices), because it brings out the flavor of the rice the most without overwhelming it. Definitely give this eatery a shot!
Loveeee this bowl that includes salmon, tuna, swordfish, jellyfish, squid, octopus, scallop. Really love the variety they provide in this one bowl although each item has only a few slices but yknoooow for the price, pretty damn good!
As usual, the truffle mushroom rice is amazing and this cosy place still tops one of my list of places for chiraishi!
fav bowl ever!! the truffle rice deserves a special mention, flavourful with ever bite. minced tuna and fatty tuna complemented really well! best part is all bowls here are pretty affordable. fuss free dining space but for the price you really canβt complain~ they accept grabpay!! π€
tried the aburi salmon don today ($10.90) that comes w 8 slices of thick salmon so yUM!!!!!
as always, the truffle mushroom rice is AMAZING and honestly for the price... the thickness and number of salmon they gave is 10/10. The teriyaki sauce adds flavour to the salmon too hehe and the don comes with some jellyfish (?) too which is yum
I'd def put this place as one of my favourite considering price and portions yay try it out!!!!! π
Rating: 7.5/10
Verdict: TRY IT OUT yO
For a very good price, you get to indulge in a variety of sashimi. And their signature truffle rice.
second time going to chiraishi kingkong and I still love it as much as the first time I went!!!! The place is famous for its assorted bowls, generous and thick servings of salmon/tuna etc at very affordable prices, and AMAZING truffle&mushroom rice so do try them heehee
Yakiniku Don 8.5/10 π - DELISH!!! I really really like it they are v generous w their beef slices and it's really well marinated, and torched so well!!! The rice is amazing too it's not just plain rice mi loves!!!!!
The place is quite small tho, only allowing 5 at the bar counter and around 3 tables outside but werf!!!
Verdict: 10/10 recommend this place very affordable dons rlly try it out!!!!
I was recommended to eat at Chirashi King Konh by so so many people and I have to say I now understand why it was on the tip of so many peopleβs tongues.
The salmon was fresh and 6 thick cut slices sat atop a strongly truffled mushroom and garlic rice. The mentaiko sayce was generously drizzed and then torched. The don was also topped with wakame seaweed and sesame jellyfish which were above the usual average for those particular jap sides in SG.
Super affordable for a filling mentaiko bowl!!
Verdict: 9.5/10
Came back a second time around to try the mentaiko salmon don and scallop don! Both were delicious yet again! The rice had a slight waft of truffle and the seafood was nice and fresh! Although the salmon was a little more cooked than my usual preference, it is still worth the $9.90 price tag!
Rice is infused with truffles mentaiko. Not too bad, and its affordable at $9.90.
Nicely mixed truffle with jap rice. Fresh sashimi slices. Regular portion costs $9.90. Worth the price.

You will not miss this shop as the truffle smell lingers around the shop. Serving flavoured truffle rice with a slab of Unagi at the top. Add $1 for the yuzu miso soup with fish chuck! Very satisfying lunch especially for truffle lovers

Chirashi King Kong
@chirashikingkong
My friend brought me to this place for a quick lunch meeting. 1st time trying. This bowl is $7.90 if I remember correctly.
What I don't like is the limited seat during peak hours and the rice abit too salty for my liking.
Otherwise the salmon is fresh, overall still not bad.
$9.9. We decided to try this too! Loved the amount of sashimi on it, and the rice complements it well! Overall worth tho i am still more of a salmon person.
$9.9. Decided to go for the mentaiko one this time and it was gooood!! Fewer prices of salmon but the sauce is generous haha
