You can now cook and enjoy @baomakers signature baos at the comfort of your home! Each kit is freshly cooked, sealed and blast-frozen to maintain its freshness. These baos are easy to prepare and fuss-free. You can steam, air fry or microwave it to heat up. .

Chilli Crab Bao Kit ($15.90) includes:
- 6 pieces of fried baos
- 1 packet of fresh crabmeat with Singapore style chilli sauce

Salted Egg Chicken Bao Kit ($13.90) includes:
- 6 pieces of black sesame baos

Too many baos I had a hard time deciding, but was rly pleased with my trio - Salted Egg Chicken, Chilli Crab Fried Mantou n Blackened Chicken Bao. Surprisingly like the Blackened Chicken the most bcos of the soft sesame bun, grilled chicken that wasn’t bitter like how I expected n the house blend garlic mayo. Slurps!!! 😋 +$2 during dinner for the Triple Bao Set so I skipped it cos who cares for the salad anw hahahaa

Starting off with the signature baos, we really enjoyed the Chilli Crab Bao. Mixed with the chilli crab chunks, the chilli crab sauce was done really well, and the mantou was perfectly deep fried. The Salted Egg Chicken Bao was served with a steamed bun instead and wasn’t nearly as impressive. The downside was that the portions were quite tiny. We were pleasantly surprised that aside from the baos, the Salmon Mentaiko Roll & Teriyaka Beef Steak Rice Bowl were pretty tasty. On the side note, I loved the minimalist interiors! Overall, the quality of the food was decent but prices are steep. If anything, I would return for the baos.

What's better to eat at BAO Makers than their BAOs! 💕 With a wide variety of flavours, you are bound to be wpoilt for choice! 😍😍😍 Here's what we tried:
🔹️Chilli Crab Bao ($4.50++): my fave! 💯 Featuring deep-fried bun sandwiching fresh crabmeat 🦀 with Singapore style chilli sauce, this was such a delicacy! 🤤🤤🤤
🔹️Salted Egg Chicken Bao ($4.30++): loved this a lot too! ❤ With steamed sesame bun & seasoned fried chicken drenched in signature salted egg sauce, this was such a savoury treat! 😋
🔹️Blackened Chicken Bao ($4.30++): look at this black beauty! 🖤 featuring charcoal fried chicken in a steamed sesame bun with a drizzle of house blend garlic mayo 🤤, this is one aromatic bun! 👍🏻
Other alternatives include Salmon Mentaiko 🐟, Belly of Pork 🐖, Mala Beef 🌶🐄 & Veggie 🥬.

Also managed to try other delicious dishes and yummy dessert. Soft baked chewy cookie sundae with slight crunchy outer crust topped with vanilla ice cream is just heaven💕

True to their name, the baos were what truly stood out in this restaurant. Now, if only they could be bigger...
Chili Crab Bao ($4.50)
'Deep fried bun, fresh crabmeat with Singapore style chilli sauce'
Simply comforting, deep-fried 'mantou' with loads of crabmeat drenched in a sweet and spicy chili crab sauce; Favourite bao.
Taste: 10/10

Salted Egg Chicken Bao ($4.30)
'Steamed sesame bun, signature salted egg sauce, seasoned fried chicken'
If you love salted egg, you will love this bun. Loaded with creamy salted egg goodness and a really juicy and crunchy slab of chicken.
Taste: 10/10

Salmon Mentaiko Bao ($4.30)
'Steamed white bun, fried salmon, cod roe sauce, cheese, tobiko'
This bao is essentially an elevated version of my salmon mentaiko bowl, with the rice being replaced by sweet fluffy buns and a rich cheese flavour to complement the mentaiko salmon. (Unfortunately, I do not remember the tobiko in the bun)
Taste: 9/10

Overall, felt that this restaurant was a tad pricey without the discount but I guess I should be expecting that due to where its located. While the rice bowls are the ones that will fill you up here, I would strongly suggest skipping them and going straight for their baos. Personally, I will only come back again if I've another huge discount.

Served With Edamame & Salad

Operating since 2015, @baomakers is probably the first specialty Bao café in Singapore to introduce conventional Chinese buns filled with local or Japanese-inspired flavours. Other than serving their signature baos, they also have an extensive menu of artisan rolls and salads, as well as a plethora of Japanese rice bowls by day and sharing meat-based dishes by night.

They were all well-executed, and none of the dishes left me disappointed. The deep-fried mantou had a nice crunchy exterior with a soft, fluffy middle. With a generous amount of tasty filling sandwiched in-between, every bite was delightful.

My favourite is the Chilli Crab Bao with chunks of fresh chilli crab meat packed with addictive spicy notes admist the meat's natural sweetness. The Salmon Mentaiko Bao came with the option of steamed bao. Sandwiched in between these soft fluffy buns was a piece of fried crispy salmon slathered with a layer of rich mentaiko sauce and a slice of cheese atop.
