Natural wine pop-up bar Drunken Farmer doesn’t just serve up great wines, their limited but carefully curated food selection really wowed us too. I haven’t had a charcuterie platter this good since Paris. The duck rillettes was chunky and wondrously greasy, the saucisson not as salty and more nuanced than the norm, and the forest mushroom pâté, a loaf of meaty goodness. Served with the traditional accompaniments of cornichon and baguette, every element on the board went fabulously with our wines.

Stellar wine program by head wine dude Phil over at Drunken Farmer - Spa Esprit's natural wine pop-up bar that's taken residency on the grounds of Open Farm Community. We started the evening with an absolutely refreshing Les Agudes, a French blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grape varietals. Fruity and floral on the nose, with hints of pear and crisp green apple notes in the mouth. Salut!

The selection of wine is amazing! Thanks to this guy who I conversed with, Phill. I learnt quite a lot about natural wine from him. It’s not just about the place. It’s not about the food and drinks. To me it’s about the host to the house I’m in.

Nice outdoor seating but IMPT with Super cooling system, feels like having wine overseas. Nice wine selection and affordable. Didn’t know natural wine can be tasty. Will come again.

Dropped into Drunken Farmer with friends last week and got to try some of their natural wines. Staff were great in letting us know the difference between the wine we buy in stores and what’s produced by the natural wine producers. Let’s just say one bottle of wine turned into a few more after we got started.

The food served matched the style of the wine with very French provincial style pate, rillette, dried sausage, assorted cheeses and breads. The large fresh Brittany oysters are not to be missed!!!

Staff were a little all over the place as it was quite busy when we were there but I hope as they only recently opened that this will improve.

As the place takes over the space of Tiong Bahru Bakery’s Safari concept, you’re seated in this large outdoor safari tent with decor to match. A really great space to chill out and have laughs with friends.

And the added bonus was the next day. Even with all the wine we drank most of us didn’t have the usual wine hangover, since natural wines have less sulfides and added preservatives that normally mass produced wines.

We will be making this place a regular hang out for sure.

Drunken Farmer - a newly opened pop up bar at Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari offers a window into a growing movement around natural wines in Singapore. Their selection of natural wines are very tasteful, paired with their cheese and charcuterie platters. Their oyster is of high quality and very affordable. It’s a place best fit for those who wish to astray from the hustle and bustle of the city.
