We had dinner at eight, but still a lot of customers. Back Kut Keh is very delicious, but the essence is soup. It could be added to unlimited. Totally $18 per pax, reasonable price!

Old school style of bak kut teh can be find at the 1st floor of Hong Lim Market, the soup tasted very strong and fragrance; which they use the tea sourced from Pek Sun Choon.

The pork ribs given also very juicy as well.

This is where the food differ between branches. The pork belly was alright, it's not particularly tender but it's fatty so it works out overall.

The intestines, though in a light braise as well, is quite different from the original branch a little bit further down the road. It's more textbook, in that it's softer

The braised items are standard, not particularly impressive

This branch is better simply because it's in air con, why wait in the heat w the throngs of tourists when they're so consistent between branches?

Huge ribs, the biggest I've seen in a bit, or maybe ever. No wonder they just give 1 when some places give 2. The meat was decent, but their super thick and peppery soup that's consistent amongst branches is the true MVP here

Part of the value lunch set. Very light. If you know me, it won't be what I like. It tasted almost diluted.

Bkt, youtiao, salted veg or braised peanuts, rice and a drink. If you know me, I don't like this style of bkt, but came here for a business lunch. It was not just great value, I admit the bkt was really good. The standout was the tender, chunky ribs. One bowl of youtiao per pax was also satisfying. I also appreciated that in such a chain setting, the processes are better and therefore soup top-ups were frequent.

Impromptu Bak Kut Teh session with fellow uWavers. Great gathering, good food, satisfied tummy, and more importantly new friendship forged.\o/
What I had,
Pork Ribs Soup(S)($8.30)👍
A comforting hot bowl of peppery style soup with 3 medium size pieces of succulent and easily debone pork ribs. Tasty and heart-warming. Price may be a bit steep but good thing was there is a free flow soup refill service so you can drink it to your heart content.😍
Eating the ribs coated with spams of garlic and chilli padi with dark soya sauce is my favourite style of eating it. The sweet, savoury, spicy and bitter all at once attacking your tastebud is just shiok. Maybe, I just got weird preference for taste.🤭
-
Mee Sua Plain($3)😋
All time classic slurpy mee sua in Bak Kut Teh broth. Easy to slurp and chew and digest.
-
Dough Fritter(L)($4)🤩
Crunchy dough fritter is always a must to order as its goes well with Bak Kut Teh broth. Absorbing all the delicious soup for a flavour-filled dough fritter.
-
King's Garden Tea with Honey($2.20)😍
A sweet honeylicious tea drink to clean my palate and satisfy my sweet craving.
-
Probably the only complain I had is the poor ordering system that doesn't allow you to check back what you have order so you need to check with the staff to see what order have gone thru. Also, they mess up some order but whatever, I gave up. Other than that, all seems well.

Meat is very tender, serving is pretty fulfilling. I really like this bakkut teh and for $5.50, it’s very worth it!

For those of you who love the herbal variety of bak kut teh, this is one place you can consider. The stall opens for breakfast and serves bak kut teh at $5! The soup was flavourful, although I thought the pork was a little too tough for my liking. Although I prefer the peppery version of bak kut teh (e.g., at Song Fa), I would consider coming here for a change every now and then :)

Went with this King’s Garden Tea from the range of pots of teas available. This is a blend of oolong and green tea with chrysanthemum flowers. Enjoyed the smooth bittersweet aftertaste that complemented our peppery bak kut teh meal nicely. They leave a flask of hot water aside for you to add on as and when, but make sure not to leave the pot for too long as the bitterness gets stronger quite quickly.
