I kid you not. These eggs anyway cost 10.50 RM ala carte. Think overflowing flowy creamy scrambled eggs on sour dough, and you'll know it's a steal.
Adding sides like tattertots and chicken sausage added just 9.90 RM more.
#takemymoney will come back for this
This place is much raved after and I understand why: aesthetic food in a relaxing setting. Was pretty impressed with my Wild Mushroom Risotto (RM 28) - with abundant and diverse mushrooms, with it's rice immersed in the truffle fragrance and chicken/mushroom broth and it's golden egg yolk goodness.
Having supported Routine by Soon, and People and Places, I'm convinced that they do want to deliver cr8tive quality food to it's people.
Take note though, queues can get long - we waited close to an hour. Do they take reservations?
(Ps there is a 10% service charge and 6% service tax)
Visited for my caffeine fix and ended up ordering a table full of food 😉😏 (together with my family haha). Very few places does everything well but I would say that everything served was of food standard. Each dish had its own flavour.
Risotto - perfectly al dente with the fragrance of mushrooms.
Pancake - so pretty, a little fluffy but with thick and crispy crust at the sides.
Coffee - rich, smooth, low acidity.
Definitely will be back.
Its topped with caramelised mushroom, poached kampung egg yolk, some arugula and z’enged with a drizzle of truffle oil. I thought the dish was a very decent one but once again, still a very aesthetically pleasing dish.
Bacon is not included but could be topped up!
Overall: this cafe is a MUST visit for the vibes and friendliness of the staff if you’re arnd the area! quesadilla brekkie > wild mushroom risotto > pan fried salmon with kimchi cauliflower rice
One of their most popular dishes here! It’s once again, a very aesthetic pleasing dish of tortilla stuff with Super (I kid u not like SUPER) creamy tomyum scrambled eggs, ham, tomatoes, sriracha aioli, coriander & cheddar cheese. You’ll be like huh??? But trust me, it was rlly good. Add toppings like smoked salmon/ Mexican baked beans to give your dish more dimension & make it more refreshing.
Overall: Quesadilla brekkie > mushroom risotto > pan fried salmon w kimchi cauliflower rice
👍🏻 the dish was just aesthetic perfection. Salmon was soft and tender with the crisp on the skin. Overall a very well balanced meal. Cauliflower tasted like rice (personally not a fan of cauliflower but this turned out well). Staff were SUPER FRIENDLY!!! would totally recommend just for the vibes.
👎🏻 2-3 of my friends finished their food while this hasn’t even arrived. A stronger/sour/pungent taste of the kimchi would be better, it tasted more like fried cabbage.
This was pretty good. It's made with homemade peanut butter, banana, coconut and cocoa nibs.
This popular JB cafe is the embodiment of peak cafe culture — gorgeous space with relaxed vibes and vibrantly-plated food; reminiscent of Melbourne. This 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗸𝗸𝗶𝗲 (RM$25) presented an intriguing marriage of flavours and elements.

Outside, tortilla sported a nice crisp, and the pomegranate rubble provided another fun layer to the texture. Inside, tomyum scrambled eggs peacocked a bright and piquant profile, which was deftly matched by the richness of melted cheddar, whilst a drizzle of sriracha aioli introduced a gentle spiciness — then a magic touch of tangy-sweetness from pomegranate balanced the bold heartiness.

Unlike Higher Ground (obviously an inspiration), I was not underwhelmed by the food — not amazing but pretty good, and considering the price tag, cafe lovers would love this place.

Very worth for the price as the hotcake was just the right amount of milky and buttery! The vanilla ice cream also complemented it very well, especially when the hot cakes were freshly baked and toasty! The sunflower seeds also gave it a nice crunchy texture. Highly recommended and indeed a signature dish!
It’s amazing how People & Places do their food so well! Salmon fillet was tender and flaky with the skin pan-seared to a perfect crisp 💯 Poached egg 💯 The kimchi cauliflower rice will cheer up anybody on a keto diet but misses carbs (hahaha people like me 🥺). If only Singapore had this

💯
1️⃣ Quesadilla Brekkie (RM25): I love how it’s labelled **Lit A.F.** in the menu and there’s an icon of the owner(?!) next to it. Thought it was Jesus’s face for a moment 🤣🤣 But seriously, I could eat this quesadilla over and over again!! I think it’s genius how well they married Thai tomyum scrambled eggs with everythinggg from the tortilla to ingredients like chicken ham, tomatoes, sriracha aioli, coriander with pretty pops of pomegranate, cheese, and coriander to make it so pretty. Feast for the eyes and the tongue!! 😍
2️⃣ Signature Hotcake (RM23): Told my cousin this is the McDonald’s hotcake taste!! 😂 But better and in muffin form. The hotcakes had a cake-like texture. The double cream was very good! So light and not cloying. Aiyo for RM23, is so worth!!! Compared to the hotcakes in sg cafes 🥺
3️⃣ Wild Mushroom Risotto (RM28): Very rich and earthy omg. They piled on a very generous variety of mushrooms and the egg was beautiful 🤤
4️⃣ Add-ons: Scrambled Kampong Egg and Potato Totes (RM5 + RM3): Just wanted to commend the staff for great service recovery. We ordered these add-ons together with everything but the waiter missed it when he sent order to the kitchen. He came back and served these at the end of our meal. Apologised and offered them on the house as an apology. 💯💯

The quesadilla brekkie was really rich as much as it was yummy. It has tom yam scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, sriracha aioli, cilantro and pomegranate so it was very flavourful and unique! I would come back again for this 😋
We shared a dark chocolate fudgey brownie which was really like what the name suggests. It wasn’t sweet too, and it went well with a cup of coffee 😌

Introducing some heat to the table, People & Places Cafe’s Quesadilla Brekkie (RM25) is a must-order there. Different from their more familiar Melbourne-inspired brunch staples, the Mexican-Thai plate bring the aesthetics and the flavours. It packs a punch with the creamy tom yum scrambled eggs and lip-smacking sriracha aioli, which are balanced by generous bits of chicken ham, sliced tomatoes, coriander and Belgium cheddar cheese sandwiched between the soft tortilla sheets. Then adding to the flavour bomb; the grated parmesan, sweet pomegranate, drizzle of pesto oil and squeeze of the lemon wedge didn’t hurt either. All tangy, spicy, sweet and savoury; it’s a dish I would go back for.
Never would I be amazed at a cafe so much by the outlook of this place. Don’t be fooled by the outward appearance of a furniture selling store, but once stepping in you will be served vibrantly by one of the lovely and friendly staff.
Had their quesadilla brekkie, which I must say is another definition of art meets fusion of food. With some tom yum spices to enhance the flavor with a squeeze of lemon.. makes this food simply heavenly.
One bite after another, one just simply can’t imagine the exotic burst of adventure happening in the mouth. Finger lickin good has now a new title to give. Bravo to the staff and crew and especially the chef for creating this memorable experience.
Cons: menu-need some touch up as the one I got was badly torn or wilted making it difficult to read
Coffee- a bit weak on the flavor, could be improve! But the froth is nice
Price: above average starting at around RM20
Service: exceptionally great! The best I’ve seen and experience
Ambience: cosy and comfortable with a touch of tropical accompanied with some reggae tunes
Food: one of the best I’ve tried
Cleanliness: spotless
Would I return: yes! All yes
Juxtaposed against tons of greenery and natural light, this otherwise industrial-looking space is home to a cafe that serves up some of Aussie's finest exports. Perk yourself up with their appropriately-named Magic (RM12), where steamed milk is poured over a double ristretto for that much needed caffeine rush. Feast on the flavourful Wild Mushroom Risotto (RM28) or the delicious Peanut Butter Toast (RM11.90) that sees muesli bread topped with housemade roasted peanut butter, sliced banana, cacao nibs, chia seeds and dessicated coconut.

So this is a keto friendly dish that aids weight loss and need not be counted in my calorie intake right? #indenial .
So many rights in this dish- perfectly pan fried salmon fillet that is crispy in the outside, loving the kimchi cauliflower rice which definitely adds a pop of flavour to the fish. Comes with poached eggs, kale, with a dash of sesame seeds.
