A much smaller piece than the white Whale, this one didnt have as much of a bite but it was still sufficiently. There's a fresh ness from the greens but it was mainly sweet with no heat despite the name(think it's referring to capsicum)

Take note it's not evenly sliced so this piece(the ends) are actl q significantly bigger than the usual slices

Really good bite, very satisfying to chew on for something thats cold, but it's gonna be so much better if it were warm

New creation by this korean fishcake shop and decide to tried since is $1 for the last 2 pieces. Slight sweetness from the coconut coated with gula melaka that balance it well with the fishcake.

Was really hyped up about this korean fishcake store but was disappointed on my first mouth. Fishcake was cold and soggy and the oil made me slightly gerlad. Wish they offer to fry on the spot to make it warm

I have a thing for croquette but this was rather disappointing. It has been fried and left on the tray for a while β€” think bread shop style β€” so it was cold.

Can’t go wrong with bakkwa! This was savoury and delicious, but I wish the bakkwa flavor was stronger. The sauce in the bakkwa filling made it taste a lil like the filling in a charsiew bao

This was the best one amongst those we tried! It was a little greasy overall, but we enjoyed the heat from the fresh green chilis in the filling

The fish cake is really chewy and super juicy! The juicy literally squirk out almost every other bite into the amook. The shrimp is added to make it more premium but the fish cake itself is already good. This is only available on friday and weekends.

In conjunction with @samjinamooksg β€˜s 1st anniversary, all items are offered at 30% off from 27-30 Sept, with an exclusive 1-for-1 for croquettes on 29 Sept! ✨✌🏻 Among all I’ve tried, my favourite got to be the spicy amook bites that’s filled with green paprika and minced spicy chilli pepper. The end result was one that’s flavourful with a pleasant tinge of spice, without the need for any extra condiments. It’s also bite sized and hence fuss-free to consume too! ✨ Following up would be the amook toast, essentially a ham & cheese β€˜toast’ with fishcake substituting toast. Perhaps great for those who are on a carb-free diet? πŸ˜‰ Within the breaded golden brown exterior lies a thin layer of ham and oozing melted cheese (swipe to view). Would be great if the exterior was more crisp and perhaps with a more cheesy interior ! 😬 On the downside, the bacon dog paled in comparison to the other 2, with just a thin layer of bacon surrounding a huge chunk of fishcake. Had initially thought there would be a hotdog stuffed within - as the name suggests, but much to my dismay, there was none 😒. The presence of the bacon could have been more significant as well, with a lack of the characteristic smoky flavour and savoury tinge of saltiness .

Got this for the glass noodles but it's a skip for me. They weren't as fragrant or savoury and was dry. Somehow the texture of the amook here was just a teeny bit more doughy as well.

The famous fish cake brand in Korea has opened their international outlet here in Singapore. Best time to be here should be in the early morning 10am when they just open their outlet, where everything here are freshly prepared.

From $2.50, you can grab yourself any of the fish cake here.

We felt a little peckish so like many people there, decided to have some of this famous Korean fish cakes. It was our first time, and we bought a few consisting of: Fried Chilli Pepper ($3.50), Prawn Roll Hotdog ($3.50), Goblin's Mace ($3.50), Shrimp Tang ($2), and Green Shrimp Paprika ($2).

Pictured is the Goblin's Mace, which looked the most appealing and the first we tried. Nothing special, but you can't go wrong with fried potatoes and hotdogs! My favourite was the Prawn Roll Hot Dog, which was one of their bestsellers. Contrary to its name, it didn't actually have a hotdog, but the distinct prawn taste helped to break the slight monotony of the plainer fishcake. I liked the Fried Chilli Pepper as well, which tasted like a fried & generously stuffed Green Chilli sometimes found in Yong Tau Foo stalls. The rest frankly, was quite forgettable, though I guess it's always nice to have a choice of a different fishcake from the usual processed ones.

Honestly, the idea was very interesting, but I was slightly disappointed in its execution. I'd imagine it would taste tonnes better fresh out of the fryer when it's still crispy but the ones we've had lacked that crunch we were looking forward to in our fried fritters. However, I do believe the turnover of the croquettes is high, considering the crowd, and what that we got were very fresh. I bet it'll taste much better if you're taking it home to reheat in a toaster oven, but sadly that would defeat the idea of a street snack eaten on the go.

Samjin Amook 삼진어묡, which is the NUMBER 1 Korean Fishcake brand, has opened its first and only international outlet in Singapore.

Think this was the best one out of the four fishcakes I've got. With a mozzarella-cheddar filling, it's supposedly stretchy and gooey when you bite into it, but mine was a little cold by then that the filling's gone hard. So please try to eat it hot! I liked the crunchy breadcrumbed exterior and thought this pairing of amook to cheese was well balanced. Pricey for this size though!

This was a huge sized ricecake hotdog - thick layer of amook wrapped around a stick of ricecake. Similar to the others, this would probably work best when it's just right out of the fryer piping hot, cause our ricecake didn't have that chewy bite and was leaning towards being more hard textured. The wall of amook was nice and soft though. Not exactly sure what makes the difference but I remember the ones I had in Korea fare better! Found the fishcakes here a little too pricey too.
