What you should order based on community favourites

Some things are just not worth clogging your arteries for. Take Sideway’s 𝙍𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙡 (~$22) for example. I could literally FEEL fatty deposits in my arteries every mouthful I took, which was probably why I stopped at 1/5 the bowl. I’m serious, even every grain of rice was oily.

The eggplant that came with it was reeked of an acidic/sour mouthfeel, and though they were generous with the bowl portion, I’d much rather have something worth the calories.

For all veggie lovers, this one's for you!

Sideways has their Halloumi Fever, which comes with a choice of base (Couscous & Mixed Peppers), Roasted Aubergine, Zucchini, grilled Padron Peppers, artichokes, Burrata & hummus!

You'd never think of filling up on this but wow, each piece of item is grilled perfectly with a hint of char with every bite. Mix them together with the hummus to give you a nutty fix and a creamy finish with the burrata.

This well-balanced dish is great for days where you feel like having something in the healthier side.


Having steak for breakfast is never too indulgent, right?

Available only during the weekends on their brunch menu, pop by Sideways for their Ribeye Bowl between 10am to 4pm on Sat & Sun to taste this goodness by yourself!

This bowl comes packed with your choice of base (this was Mixed Greens +$2), topped with Mixed Grilled Vegetables, Avocado Dip, Grilled Padron Peppers, Poached Egg & of course, a perfectly medium rare steak.

You'd be surprised at how full you'd be after this bowl as it does fill you to the brim, in terms of flavour & stomach space.


There’s just NOTHING about this Ribeye Bowl ($20) we didn’t enjoy. First off you’ve got the generous portion of well-seasoned Australian ribeye grilled to a perfect medium-rare, super juicy and succulent, boasting those crisp, charred edges we (at least I) all love. Then there’s the creamy and fresh avo dip (very much like a pureed guacamole), poached eggs with the gorgeous runny yolk, and man those soft and tender grilled aubergines were downright tasty. Mix it all up before taking a big bite, and I promise you'll practically fall into nirvana. If anything, their cauliflower rice could do with some improvement. It was way too soft which, when just sitting in all the steam and juices, made it all the more mushy. Also I’m pretty sure the components in our bowl weren’t exactly the ones described on the menu, but idk could be a teething issue with their newly launched lunch service 🤷🏻‍♀️

The gluten-free brownie was a dense chocolate sticky block; very rich despite its described “healthier” gluten-free persona. An absolutely ideal way to end of a brunch or treat yourself lunch.

Kombucha has become ubiquitous but kombucha mocktail was atypical for me. The kombucha is made in house at sideways and I adored the refreshing drink after a hearty meal.
