More Reviews of good food at Starbucks Reserve (United Square)

We all know that Starbucks is famous for coffee and drinks, and may not pay that much attention to its food menu offerings.

Zooming in on its “Mornings Made Better” items, I noted more than 10 offerings, including Breakfast Pancakes, Egg Mayo & Cheese Multigrain Croissant, Chicken Ham & Cheddar Cheese Toast, to Egg White, Roasted Pepper, Mushroom & Cheddar Wrap.

With “Circuit Breaker” measures in place, Starbucks customers who want to dabao (takeaway) are recommended to use the Mobile Order & Pay to order ahead and pick up without waiting in line.

Mobile Order & Pay > bit.ly./starbucksrewardssg Tap on 'Order' on the app, pay and breeze in to collect.

Also available for Delivery - GrabFood, FoodPanda and Deliveroo.

Acidic yet juicy enough! It’s a great pourover coffee from a co-op on the foothills of Mt. Kenya. We prefer this to the last Macchiato we mentioned. The fact that it’s served in a mug might not be a preferred choice by some during this Corona Virus outbreak. However, in Starbucks we trust! 🤓 Stay safe & sound everyone! 💚😷

New! 1 out of 3 drinks (“Smooth Brr-ew”) that we bought to calm the heat. Got the option to pick hot or cold and we pick ‘cold’. Not a distinctive taste that caught us off guard. Actually we can rarely notice the oat as one of ingredients. It is sweet, refreshing but light on cocoa.

One word to describe this: irresistible!

Really love how the sweetness of the cocoa complements the nutty oat milk so well. Will definitely be getting this a couple more times (before it disappears from the menu UwU)

The Starbucks Reserve at United Square is also something to marvel at. The high ceilings and large panels of glass allows abundant sunlight to stream through which creates a very lovely ambience.

Will come back here to chill :)

there wasn’t any truffle taste tbh and the beef mixture was clumpy and dry without much flavour. on the bright side, at least the pastry was flaky??? but defo will not get it again, hopefully the others fare better 😛

Our attempt to have this flavor again take us from Starbucks Toa Payoh (HDB hub) to Starbucks reserve in United square as the TPY outlet doesn’t have it in stock. Not too sweet with crunch from hazelnut filling although we wish they could have been bolder with the coffee node in the mooncake.🤓

With the sale of the very exclusive Hawaii Ka’u coffee in 5 Starbucks Reserve stores, I managed to get a taste of the Chemex brew at a bombastic price of S$19.00, making it one of the most expensive cup of coffee I had ever consumed to date.

This cup of black coffee was like no other brewed Starbucks Reserve beans that I had tried. At first encounter, the hot coffee was quite unfriendly to the taste buds, with a little unpleasant kind of metallic aftertaste amidst all that bitterness. Surprisingly, the coffee actually tasted better as it cooled down, and unlike most of the other Starbucks Reserve beans that I had tried before, the best part about the Hawaii Ka’u coffee was that it tasted great even at room temperature. But the best way to enjoy this beans without experiencing that initial “bad taste”, for me, was to request for the coffee serve iced or chilled, so that the taste notes of milk chocolate and almond would be more prominent.

But because this shipment of beans is so limited, I bet it would be off the menu in no time, despite the hefty price to pay.

It's 24 hours and very nice environment. This us probably the largest cafe in town. High ceiling and many sofa seats.

We ordered the ice black coffee. the strong coffee aroma here compared to the usual coffee shop ice coffee. $5.20 for this cup. Great way to start a day here. We rate the ambience 8.5/10. Great service too.

My fav coffee is nitro cold brew since Starbucks started brewing it~~

The lookout - $8.80 (Tall Size)
Only at United Square Starbucks Reserve
·
A refreshing iced shaken espresso with a hint of demerara syrup, topped with sparkling water and a dollop of sweet whipped cream. Uses the Brazil IP Estate Beans which has a soft acidity with notes of red apple and hazelnut. Sparkling water by Badoit sourced from Saint-Galmier France. It’s the first time I get to try sparkling water infused coffee beverage. No doubt it will dilute the intensity of coffee but the sparkling water brings out the sweetness, and giving it an additional texture. Take a sip and go ahead to stir the whipped cream in, stir it well to dissolve the demerara syrup too, let the sweetness get a boost to another level. Definitely a class of it’s own

I didn't know it would come this tiny..perhaps only 150mL at most. With the $1 off coupon I had, it was ok for the price. There wasn't even any effort for any latte art? Or maybe a Piccolo doesn't need one?? 😜 Whatever it is, this is my 1st and last try for a Piccolo.

Strawberry Honey Blossom Creme Frap - $8.70

Strawberries and milk are blended together with ice before being layered onto fluffy honey flavoured whipped cream. More honey flavoured whipped cream tops off the drink, together with a sprinkle of freeze dried strawberries and crunchy pink rice puff.
Overall the drinks is just so fluffy so sweet, get ready for a sugar rush

surprisingly refreshing - light yet bitter with citrus notes at the end. the sweet cream toned down the citrus-y afternotes and smoothened out the overall coffee taste.

Iced Vanilla Bean Latte (S$10.50/ venti)
With Today’s Featured Bean
East Timor Peaberry

Not sure why but the venti size cup looked 👀smaller than the usual size. The drink did tasted smoother than the usual latte.

Espresso pressed from the Black Eagle coffee maker, shaken with ice and totally covered with Vanilla Bean Sweet Cream. The product tasted like a really rich coffee ice cream that leaves a lingering aftertaste that is so decadent.

It probably does not come with a friendly price tag (S$10.00 for a Venti size), but really, just having this with a slice of cake is already a great pleasure.

On your first sip, you'll already feel the 'healthy' taste that the granola has added to the usual dark mocha frap. I liked how its crisp texture enhanced the flavour! 😉❤️

I had the Nitro Cold Brew with cream, and paired it with a vanilla éclair. The former was noted for its potent coffee flavour, though come to think of it, it wasn’t the superlative among all the coffee drinks I’ve had before. It was also surprisingly light, which points to it being a refreshing coolant for hot days. It went pretty well with the sweet vanilla éclair, which mostly tempered the bitterness and made downing the cold brew easier.

I must say though, that I didn’t enjoy the éclair – the texture of the cream felt like stiff clumps more than anything. Can’t expect much I guess since it's some sense mass-produced, but I just thought I’d point that out. 😕

But of course, take my words with a pinch of salt as I am not a coffee connoisseur. I certainly enjoyed the experience, but as for the things I tried…I’ll probably give them a miss the next time. 🤔(6.9/10)

"It may be a labor of love. But it's mostly love."

Starbucks Singapore recently brought trending to a new level with their Nitro Cold Brew Coffee (S$5.90 for Tall). It's really cool to see how coffee is served as though you just ordered some Guinness; it makes you think you are drunk or not. The barista told me that they have a good supply of Nitro Cold Brew, so you can literally come at any time of the day and they will still be happy to serve you.

Currently an exclusive menu item at the newly renovated Starbucks Reserve at United Square. I would say, get a counter seat if there is one.

It's basically vanilla creme frappucino with 1 pump toffee nut syrup, 1 pump caramel syrup, whippped cream and caramel drizzle. I think some people commented that this was too sweet, but I love it! ❤️😍✨
