Back at Tom's Palette ever since they moved out of Shaw Towers to 51 middle road! Left to right: mango, yuzu, white nori, matcha. 1 medium cup (can choose 1/2 flavours) for $5! The most affordable ice cream place and with many interesting flavours to choose from! Would have wanted to try the tausarpiah flavour, but sadly it was an excluded flavour (along with mango sticky rice) for the one for one Burpplebeyond deal. Do note that only takeaways are allowed for Burpplebeyond 1 for 1 deal

We love how we can always try 4 flavours in one sitting.

- chocolate gelato: super rich dark chocolate flavour, recommended if you love choc
- blueberry cheesecake: nicer version of $1 ripple ice cream
- hazelnut latte: tastes like nespresso and coffee taste was just nice for me (but subjective as ryan thought it was too bitter)
- apple pie: nice cinammon flavour and had apple bits in it for extra crunch

Can’t dine in for Burpple Beyond so we sat outside instead. Prefer the tea flavours from here, the ones we got this time were all on a sweeter side so there wasn’t rly a balance :(

Opted for a medium cup ($5)! Tried tiramisu for the second time, and am happy that they’ve improved it with the addition of finger biscuits :-) it melts really quickly and I’d love a stronger espresso flavour, but the alcohol is robust. The genmaicha is nicely roasted with a mild sweetness!

The white choc nori was really good - the briny taste from the seaweed went very well with the white chocolate, plus they added nuts (I’m a fan of a crunch element in ice creams)! It’s now one of my fav flavours at tom’s, along with rum & raisin, which I’ve previously reviewed :)

Granny’s favourite (choc malt, choc chips & cookie dough) was pretty malty, but it was rather average to me. Summer berries was sour and tart; it was pretty refreshing. Not my cup of tea though, I’ll prefer to get other flavours.

Texture-wise, these were all smooth and not icy. Tom’s is a great ice cream spot, and I’m glad they’re back on beyond!

We had the 1 for 1 medium cups with Burpple Beyond! Lychee/Chocolate Sorbet and Hazelnut/Almond Biscuit were our flavour choices. The Lychee was such a refreshing choice and the Hazelnut and Almond Biscuit were milky and rich. The Chocolate Sorbet can be a good non-dairy choice but we personally felt it was a bit bitter. Overall super good ice cream and we would definitely come back for more even without the deal!
