Got this one on grabfood, so this is grab pricing. Salmon was quite decent, slightly overcooked but not too over such that it takes stringy. Liked that they left the skin on, and the glaze on the salmon was nice. Miso ginger sauce was delish - tangy (there is vinegar I believe) and savoury sweet and v asian tasting, with a mild heat from the ginger. Broccoli was not nice, and some were too hard. Peppers were raw so it’s quite crunchy, and naturally sweet. Pumpkin was super good, sooo soft and sweet and creamy. The half avo was nicely ripened and creamy too! Red & brown rice base was p decently done, each grain was separate, not mushy but not hard to eat either. Tried the portobello mushroom from the other box and it was v earthy and juicy! Wonderful meal, loved that it was healthy and filling and delicious 👍🏼

Cauliflower rice - must always be one of my bases
Sesame linguini - quite bland & undercooked
Miso mirin salmon - sooooo good
Kimchi - a little salty today
Grilled pumpkin
Grilled sweet potato - one of my go-to toppings now!
Shimeji mushrooms
Cashew sunflower seed lime sauce

WARM PROTEIN BOWL ($11)
Base: Cauliflower rice (nice) & Soba (too soft)
Sauce: Roasted Carrot Orange (tf tasted like orange juice over my food🥴)
Broccoli very hard, edamame okay, fried tofu okay, kimchi spicy
Added $1 for MISO MIRIN SALMON and no regretss such a huge slab and not dry!

Why is Toss & Turn always sold out by dinner time? It’s been like that every time I’ve patronised it for the last 6 years. I went there at 6pm this time, and several of the salad options and all the soups were already sold out. It’s a pity because Toss & Turn serves good food. I really liked the roasted vegetables, which surprisingly were available as a base. They’re nicely roasted so that they’re solid yet soft, and retain plenty of their natural juices. Also loved the mushrooms and tofu, and how the ingredients were moist but not oily.

Base: roasted vegetables, linguine
Protein: salmon (+$2), portobello mushroom
Sides: edamame, shimeiji mushrooms, tofu
Topping: furikake
Dressing: honey mustard (I didn’t use this)

DIY Regular Bowl consists of 1 base (you can choose 2 bases, you get 1/2 portion of each), 2 proteins, 3 sides, 1 topping, 1 dressing (~$15).

For the base of my salad, I like to request for it to be 1/2 Romaine Lettuce (cold) and 1/2 Linguine pasta (cold). For my proteins, I'll get Baked Herb Thyme Chicken and top up $1 for Smoked Salmon. For my sides, my go-tos are their Kimchi, Sous Vide Egg, Tofu, Button & Shimeji Mushrooms (quite dependant on my mood 🤪). For my topping, I like to get the Dried Cranberries - they help add a sweet touch! As for the dressing, I love their Sesame Miso (it's oil free)!

Overall, I'd say that the salad bowl is value-for-money! For my friends that don't really enjoy vegetables, they're actually fine with dining at Toss & Turn because of the variety of options that'd allow them to consume as little veggies as they possibly can! Love that the portion is generous.

Only thing that I think can be improved upon - the amount of oil, find it a little oily since the Pasta is ago olio style and the Baked Herb Thyme Chicken is a little on the oily end 😟

Soba + bulgogi beef + broccoli + onsen egg

I loved how the gravy of beef complemented the soba since eating soba on its own is quite tasteless.
