dark choc was SUPER GAO highly recommend it if you like bitter chocolate. it had a powdery mouthfeel though. hazelnut was okay imo, nothing special. you can taste the hazelnut but maybe it got overpowered by the dark choc.

($10 for two regular scoops - cone/cup are the same price)

Venchi from taka basement! Tried this because we had time to spare and was looking for dessert places after lunch!

🍦Strawberry and chocolate chips
🍦Mango Sorbet
🍦Matcha (with white chocolate, pistachio and lemon)
🍦salted caramel

The matcha one was the most interesting flavour because of the addition of the white chocolate, pistachio and lemon! Super refreshing taste and very unique!

We can't help but wonder about the difference in size of the gelato given though. The right cup was given first and I was whispering to my partner "omg why so small cup!" (Just like one of the reviews we read on Burpple). Not sure if the server heard but she proceeded to make the second cup look TALLER (but actually there are empty holes at the bottom so the volume given is still the same lol)

No seats. We took it to the taka foodcourt to eat. It was a weekday so it wasn't crowded and we weren't chased away by the food court cleaners for eating "outside" food 😁

The ice cream was too little, serving at the tip of the cup.. unlike the other reviews in Burrple the ice cream serving was much more than what we were given.. not sure if it was because they knew we were using Burrple beforehand (if yes, it is really inconsistent)

141 $10 nett
rich and thick gelato!! can choose 2 flavours per cup which is v worth. tried the cappucino, pistachio, 75% chocolate and venezuela chocolate hazelnut one

only downside is it melts a bit fast :”)

service also v gud :)

Overall great flavours but a little too sweet. Worth it with the burpple beyond deal, $10 for 4 flavours. Would recommend the matcha pistachio flavour, really interesting and great combination!

this was super good!!!!!!!! loved loved LOVED THE STRAWBERRY! can’t wait to be back again for it :3

Venchi boasts a good sticky ice cream texture, with flavours that aren't too heavy. I got the cappuccino and salted toffee flavours in the regular cup ($10 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) and they taste really smooth. The cappuccino can't go wrong, and the salted toffee had the right amount of saltiness to its deep caramel flavour. However, for the full price, this will be expensive 😂

Vanilla was just right in terms of sweetness, and tasted quite milky too, which was nice. Mango was good as well, not being too sweet or sour. Venezuelan Chocolate was a little bitter, so it depends on your preference whether you like that kind of dark chocolate.

Dense and luxurious gelato with a lingering creamy mouthfeel, pop by this stand in Takashimaya Food Hall and order a double scoop ($8.90, or $6.90 if you want to be modest with a single scoop) of Giandujotto, where the age-old combination of hazelnut and chocolate results in Ferrero Rocher-esque flavours that are absolutely decadent. Pair it with a chocolaty gelato like the bittersweet and chocolaty Cuor di Cacao or, for true blue chocolate connoisseurs, the Azteco, a rich water-based dark chocolate gelato made sans milk. The nutty flavours like Pistachio and Hazelnut are great too. Burpple Tastemaker Sheryl Lyx likes how the latter is nutty without being too sweet.

Pistachio: not hard/solid enough and overly sweet
Chocolate: Good
Both melted too fast and are a little cloying. Overall 6.5-7/10, not worth $10 for a tiny cup.
I originally went for dark chocolate but was told that it’s out of stock on the day.

The Pistachio is probably the best I’ve had; natural tasting yet rich, it’s like you’re eating the actual nut. Their 75% Cuor di Cacao is also deeply sinful, while their Stracciatella is a lovely combination of creamy milk and chocolate shards. The Cremino and Gianduja are a must too if you love hazelnuts, but sadly the cup can only fit 3 flavours ($12). @venchi.singapore

Hidden in the basement of Takashimaya is this gelato place called Venchi. The gelato is made here in Singapore at their Paragon outlet using ingredients air flown from Italy. This is definitely my favourite gelato place, it’s definitely worth checking it out if you’re a fan of all things hazelnut!

My favourite picks whenever I am at Venchi, you just can't go wrong with the nutty and rich flavours. The consistency is also ultra smooth yet a tinge sticky, just how a good gelato should be.

If you think hard about it, $10.50 for a triple scoop of Venchi's delectable selection of premium quality and velvety ice-cream flavours is pretty worth it especially when you share it with a friend or two.

Had the Cremino Venchi, Pistschio and Strawberry Sorbet, all of which were really good, but my personal favourite would be the former because it has a really nice mix of vanilla and chocolate which results in a sweetness that's not too much, and I could gladly have this flavour all to myself. 🤣 The pistachio is the crowd favourite. Along with the other nutty flavours here, the pistachio flavour is really strong and earthy. The strawberry water-based sorbet tastes just like the fruit itself and it is super refreshing as well, somewhat like an ice-blended fresh fruit drink that is made with a generous amount of strawberries. If you're game for a (very) sour alternative, go for the lemon one!

Dense and luxurious with a lingering creamy mouthfeel, the gelato from Italian confectionery Venchi is the closest we can get to an idyllic Italian summer in Singapore. Pop by its stand in Takashimaya Food Hall (it's located near Godiva) and order a double scoop ($8.90, or $6.90 if you want to be modest with a single scoop). Trust us, too much of this gelato is still never enough. The Burpple community loves the Giandujotto, where the age-old combination of hazelnut and chocolate results in Ferrero Rocher-esque flavours that are absolutely decadent. Pro tip: It's worth checking out the other Venchi counter at Robinsons at the Heeren as they sometimes offer different flavours. Better yet, visit both and have a scoop at each!
Avg Price: $10 per person

Finally got to try ice cream from Venchi. Lemon (water-based sorbet with pure lemon juice from Sicily) and Giandujotto (from the traditional Venchi recipe, the perfect marriage of hazelnuts and chocolate). Also, Fragola (sweet strawberry water-based sorbet) and Cremino Venchi (the irresistible taste marriage of Piedmont P.G.J. hazelnuts and cocoa paste). Each cup costs $8.90. I particularly loved the Giandujotto which has chocolate shavings for that additional crunch and yet not too rich or sweet. #tingzieeats #burpple

I still can't resist Pistachio and Hazelnut although, they seem 'too nutty' for some. 😉 Satisfying, but I just noticed that they increased their prices. Sigh. 😔
You know you're too busy when a photo taken last week is just being uploaded today. 😁

A rich coffee flavour coupled with the smooth and creamy texture that Venchi's gelato is known for, made this thoroughly satisfying. By the way, I got this at their newest takeaway outlet at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

There are 10 available flavors, of which there's varying types of chocolate flavored ones like milk-based and hazelnut infused etc.
.
Azteco gelato is a dark chocolate water-based gelato. It's a luxuriously dark and rich gelato that doesn't contain milk. The gelato is really smooth, like gliding down your throat. The mango sorbet is just as intense and refreshing too. Seems like Takashimaya is getting more gelato competition there 😂
