A very interesting name for a cup of white coffee. It is actually double ristretto topped up with milk in a 5oz cup.
Alternative milk options with oat or soy is available.
I was here early in the morning for something at Kampong Glam, and found this brunch place that opens from 9am during the weekends.
Their pulled pork burger was not what I would expecting. The pulled pork is actually very spicy, something to take note for those who doesn’t want any heavy taste meal for morning. But I personally still enjoy it a lot.
The pulled pork burger stuffed with purple slaw, sunny side-up and brioche burger bun. Accompanied by tater tots.
It's time to @wakeywakey and have a cup of coffee, as the name implies! Even though I don't drink coffee, I find their iced matcha latte is pretty amazing.
Grain Bowl (Only available on weekdays)
Brown rice, along with sous vide beef tenderloin w pesto sauce, comes with sautéed mushrooms, roasted carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, kai lan & sous vide egg topped with furikake.
It's my first time eating something so healthy, and to be very honest, I am not a fan. Nevertheless, if you're a health junkie, this is probably for you!

I saw the burrple feed that people order it with roasted tomato basil soup as a ala crate. It's quite nice when it's warm when it's served on the table. Cheese Toastie ($16.90) got that melted "pull" and when we pull it side by side. I do recommended to order if you're got cheese vibe or lover. But I decided to add on Tater Tots for $4 as side dish but got "fishy" smell on it. I guess that they cooked with fish side by side. They got spam bagel and buttermilk pancake as their specials on the menu.
ROASTED TOMATO BASIL SOUP ($13.90) wqs not bad, tangy, but would have liked it to be thicker. changed my sourdough to a GRILLED CHEESE TOASTIE (+$4) and judging from the photo, you can clearly see that it’s oozinggg with cheese & caramelised onions🤤🧀
the chicken breast is damn good!! not dry at all and seasoned well with pepper
Pictured: Truffle Fries & Spicy Prawn Laksa Pasta
Huge portions of dishes, highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a meal while doing work. Ample seating space and it’s very cosy! Just a stone’s throw away from Bugis MRT too
Coming back to try other mains, especially their waffles since they were out of them the day that I went.
Highly recommended!
💡 I do love the whole botanic vibes with large windows filling the space with natural light 🥰 it’s not very crowded as well due to its slightly off-central location yet still on the fringes of the CBD😌 price wise not the most value for money but would still return for the beautiful space 🪴
Second time visiting @wakeysg , and the breakkie is still very delightful for me to crawl out of my bed!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We ordered grilled cheese, scrambled egg with croissant and truffle fries. But my favourite is still the truffle fries and grilled cheese, as their scrambled egg is way too watery.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They have white magic drink and taste really very delicious, it is white coffee actually.

Generous serving of creamy scrambled eggs with sour dough at Wakey Wakey ($10.90 + $3.50 for the pork sausage). Do not miss out on the matcha latte as well (from matchaya).
Loaded with delicious thicccc globs of feta cheese to thicken the tomato sauce base, this 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙪𝙠𝙖 (~$12.90) adopted a creamy texture.

Personally loved the addition of dukkah to nullify the sweeter taste of the base, and the wobbly eggs!!!! Burst worthy🥺
-
Added some 𝙎𝙢𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣 (~$3.50) for more meat on top of the Chorizo: good for slow Sat brunches, though the Shakshuka could be more tangy.
Ig @goodfomood
First post will be my birthday lunch at Wakey Wakey with my girlf😌
Damn the service was superb. Loved the ambience.
Ordered 4 items.
1. Magic mushroom
2. Grain bowl (sous vide beef)
3. Buttermilk waffle (Greek yogurt and fruits)
4. Flat white
Picked the magic mushroom over truffle fries because it’s something different and damn it did not disappoint. It was so juicy and crunchy I’m def getting more of it in future.
It was my first time trying sous vide beef so I can’t really give any remarks on it
I love my waffles and this waffle offered a soft bite, it tasted real good but I wished the outer layer could have been a little crunchier(: Overall definitely a cafe I would go back again to try other food in the menu, can’t wait!! #burpple #cafehoppingsg
Dish: recommended by the cafe assistant, the carrot cake was true to her description of it. Carrot cake was moist and the salted caramel walnut on top of the cake was too good; it was a perfectly balanced delicious cake. Iced latte (w soy milk) - super good. I normally have my iced lattes with sugar syrup but with this one, I didn’t want any because I wanted to taste the coffee. Bitter yes but so full of taste. Sea salt chocolate came with a chilled glass - it is what it is and it is good. You’ll like it if you like your iced chocolate thick (not thin). Basically, “molten chocolate goodness packed in a bottle” 🌞
Price: Carrot cake ($8.50), iced latte ($6) + soy ($0.60), sea salt chocolate ($7.00)
Experience: Was very sure the cafe assistant saw that I was holding a laptop and knew that I’d need a power outlet so she chauffeured me to the table right beside one. 💖 ambience was really nice, really beautiful interior and homely feel with carpets laying around and earthy furniture. Rlly good taste in music too, chill sounds. Perfect for breakfast/brunch and lots of seats indoor and outdoor. Sooo much natural light. Not gonna lie; instagram-worthy 🙇🏻♀️
It did its job, but nothing special. Waffle was normal, Granny Smith apple compote was normal, vanilla ice cream was normal. I was excited about the "crumble" but it's more like deconstructed, serving some random crumble instead.
Apparently in partnership with Matchaya. I like my matcha sweet and moderately bitter. This was pleasant but clearly held back on sweetness.
Beside good WiFi connection and decent PowerPoint access, Wakey Wakey do serve pretty decent Grain Bowls and Coffee! Fresh and crisp veggies and a bowl full of flavors definitely makes healthy eating enjoyable. Though the texture of sous vide tenderloin could be done better but given the nature of a cafe, it’s still a job done well!
Love natural light in cafes and Wakey Wakey certainly fits the bill. There’s a couch on one side of the cafe which is great for chilling out with friends. The Yuzu Cheesecake was rich and yummy and it went well with the chilled matcha latte.
Cozy cafe. Great hangout spot. We had the Magic and Flatwhite. Magic was good but Flatwhite was too milky, perhaps additional shot will be ideal.
Juicy, crispy and flavorful!
