Flavourful and well spiced, the spiciness from the incorporation of the chilli hits as an aftertaste at the right note, not too overwhelming nor mild. Glad that it wasnā€™t too oily too, which is usually my greatest fear in aglio olio. The crabmeat chunks were fresh, juicy with a characteristic seafood-sque sweetness that is a great complement to the pasta. Prices are rather steep here but quality is not compromised! .

$15 or more for two tacos may sound pricey, but these tacos from Afterwit are not your usual affair - there's actually a substantial amount of filling hidden within the folded 6" tortilla shells! Ordered the Carne Tirada ($17) and Cangrejo ($17) to share with a friend (thanks Burpple Beyond for the 1-for-1!), and both of us really liked what we got. The former contains root beer braised beef, which was deep in flavour, while the latter contained juicy mud crab chunks that were flavourful despite having no sauce or gravy. These tacos make a great option for light-eaters - get the burrito instead if you're hungry!

End your year with some yummy pasta from Kava Coffee.

Personally, I am a fan of cabonara and when I saw their menu that they serve seafood cream pasta ($14), instantly I am excited to try it.

Both mum and myself were impressed by their pasta as we did not feel sian/ jelat after having a few mouth of it. Moreover, the chef is really generous with the portion of the noodles and the seafood were fresh!
Do follow @kavacoffees instagram for updates of their upcoming & ongoing promotion. šŸ“ Kava Coffee ( @xyhotelbugis )

I recommend ordering this if you visit @tiposg, think itā€™s the safest and yummiest dish on the menu šŸ˜‹ The shredded slow cooked beef is tender and the sauce to pasta ratio is just nice šŸ˜ The portion isnā€™t big so thereā€™s still room for dessert!

Another new restaurant here at the basement of Hong Leong Building. Chef Teppei Yamashita opened another venture here with udon specialised restaurant. Serving up Hakata-style udon from Fukuoka.

Gobo Ten Udon is one of their signature item, topped with Burdock Tempura with udon soup base. Personally I would recommend you to get a side dish to complete your meal here. $12+

Lunch / 31 July 2018: rice bowl featuring aromatic rice topped basil beef, onsen egg, mushrooms, apple jelly with a side of salted egg sauce and lots of amusement coming from the young enterprising hawker-students who really behave like bengs. Worth a try!

[Muslim-Owned] This was a tough place to find! Itā€™s nestled in a building that has a collection of addresses that begin with Benoi Road. This was 25 Benoi Road; it was wedged deep in the Tuas industrial areas, and it took me 30 minutes of driving just to get to it. I almost gave up on finding the place tbh! šŸ˜µ

The food is really value-for-money ($4.50) thatā€™s for sure. Not too smitten by its taste, however. Itā€™s mainly because the salted egg sauce was too watery for my liking, though I did like its amount of spiciness. šŸ¤‘ My lips felt like they were burning, but I admit Iā€™m a little bit of a masochist when it comes to spicy food. šŸ¤Æ

I guess I wouldnā€™t go out of my way to get this again, but Iā€™m glad to have tried it once. Maybe opt for their zi char or their Butter Cream chicken instead! (6.9/10)

Light broth & tender beef at hawker prices. How can you not enjoy this yummy bowl of beef noodles? Would recommend to add some chilli flakes for additional kick/spice!

Meat and Mash - Each tender lamb cube is nicely grilled, and possessed a smoky aroma.

Tucked away at a corner in Zhongshan Mall, this restaurant couldnā€™t be more obscure. Iā€™m sharing it because we had such a great experience there that it would be a waste not to discover this place! Besides their other typical middle-eastern dishes, this Fish Singary ($95) is an off-the-menu item that you HAVE TO TRY. And I didnā€™t make a mistake with the name, nor the price. No, itā€™s not stingray (I donā€™t know about you but I kept reading the name that way intially). And yes, itā€™s pricey. But itā€™s so good, itā€™s absolutely worth the money!!! Incredibly fresh, plump red snapper that just falls apart when you dig into it with a fork, served with prawns on a hot pan with a bubbling, spicy, tangy and savory sauce. It is such a feast for the senses. Despite this being served at the end of the meal, we felt like we couldnā€™t get enough of it! TRY.IT. This dish is only available via pre-order.

While we find the heap of fettuccine a tad too salty, the noodles are cooked al dente and the creamy sauce further brings our the natural sweetness of the lobster meat. The larger portioned dish is suitable for sharing between 2 pax.
