For people who love their ice cream not so sweet, this flavour will suit your taste bud. Hojicha (Roasted Japanese tea) has a nice aroma while the sea salt keep the flavour interesting. If you like sweet & creamy, then go for spiced pear instead. 🍵

Got this treat at Jewel before we embark on a trip to BKK. Planned to have coffee at Starbucks but it’s too crowded so we had ice cream at our favourite shop “Bird of paradise” instead. Try 2 new flavours: spiced pear & sea salt hojicha. What a well balanced flavour combination (William pears 🍐 + cinnamon & star anise). Tastes fruity refreshing with some aroma from spices. 👍

A fancy botanical Gelato boutique located at Jewel Changi. Explore the array of refreshing gelatos where you guys are there!! I have personally tried these flavors: Earl Grey Lemon Grass, Lychee & Raspberry, Sea Salt Hojicha, White Chrysanthemum and Hazenut! Favorite is still earl grey lemongrass 👍

Sea Salt Hojicha Gelato (~$5) with Thyme cone (+$1) was an interesting twist to the usual roasted flavour I liked 🍦🍦 I wouldn’t say the flavours complemented each other, but it was quite pleasant 😚
.
The Hojicha flavour kinda faded after awhile and it wasn’t the usual thick Hojicha taste I was used to from many matcha shops 🍵 AND for the thyme cone, it was crispy and fragrant, sweet and crunchy 🤤 However it got soggy easily, and was it really worth the hype? I don’t think so 😶 I mean it is good and all, but that’s it

Smooth gelato with strong flavours of lychee plus a little hint of raspberry touch + bits. The boutique offers other interesting variety of flavours that’s be sure to spoil your choices!

The popular floral-flavoured White Chrysanthemum gelato was refreshing as it contained bits of cacao nibs with sweet nodes of the chrysanthemum. The Earl Grey and Lemongrass gelato on the other hand had a stronger flavour profile that was earthy and herbal. The best part for me was the thyme-wafer cone which was freshly baked in store. It was deliciously crunchy and fragrant.
