I always found this restaurant slightly pricey, but this particular dish is great value. With several slices of chashu-like pork and lots of greens, you're kinda getting a ramen under $10. I only hated the boiled taste, which was a bit nauseating.
Basically the lotus paste version of red bean pancake - and very similar. It's toasted till very crispy and almost chao tar. It's not bad, but also not good. Don't expect all lotus paste - there's a significant layer of nian gao.
This pot sticker is to pot stickers what open face sandwich is to sandwiches hahaha. Because it's open with nothing to stop the juice. Interestingly, it's still crispy, juicy and full. Maybe they wanna hao lian.
The lady told us we have to wait 10 mins for this dish because the chef only makes the rice ball upon ordering!! Fresh and handmade LOVE IT! The skin was so chewy yet soft and the amount of filling was just right (not too sweet as well). Not forgetting the Osmanthus soup, it was so refreshing (but a tad too sweet). Overall I'll rate it 4/5
my favourote ι θ΄΄ in Singapore! juicy meat with the right amt of veg and skin. i pair it with the chilli and vinegar mixed together. shiok!
The noodle is soft and chewy; really good texture, but the sauce can be better. Iβve had better ones overseas. Seems like they are more famous for their ε°η¬Όζ±€ε γ

Thin and crispy pancake with chewy, mochi-like layer; stuffed with smooth, sweet red bean paste. So good you can't stop at one piece.

This noodle with minced pork & soya bean sauce was tasty. The fat round noodle was soft yet pleasant to chew on

The dumpling skin was super thin & torn easily. The limited broth lacked sweetness from the meat. Not fantastic.

This was served in a tiny bowl, rather pricey for such a small portion. It tasted more sour than spicy with hardly any ingredients. Not worth it

Fans of Neil Road's Jing Hua Xiao Chi can get their homemade dumplings, zha jiang noodles and crispy red bean pancake fix at this outlet along Bugis Village, with a shorter waiting time too. No matter what dishes you're eyeing, be sure to start with an order of their signature Pan Fried Pork and Seafood Dumplings ($8 for 10 pieces). It's the star attraction for Burpple Tastemaker Sheryl Lyx β crispy skin stuffed with a generous filling of chives and minced pork that "breaks apart to release a good amount of porky essence (think XLB soup within the dumpling)". Apart from dumplings, the Chinese Pizza ($11) packed with well-seasoned minced meat and wrapped in a crispy yet crumbly crust is great for sharing in a group. End your meal on a sweet note with their signature dessert β Crispy Red Bean Pancake ($10). It's crispy on the outside, mochi-like in the middle and packed with sweet red bean filling.
Avg Price: $15 per person

These curious little pot stickers deffo caught our attention! π Crisp on the bottom and juicy throughout, it was super addictive with their vinegar and delish chilli paste. πΆ
Their Chinese Pizza π ($11) was also a pleaser but the I'll probably give the rest of their dishes like their XLB a miss next time.
The ones from Jing Hua comes in firm yet soft skins that literally burst with juice upon your tongue. Almost every other food on their menu is worth trying too, especially the crispy pork pancake.
All kinds of them. Tried the Chinese Pizza for the first time and I am even more certain that I LOVE PIZZAAAA.
Jing Hua's version of pizza has a generous portion of well-seasoned minced meat encased in crispy yet crumbly crust. A tad on the oily side though.
Crispy on the outside, juicy and flavourful inside. Kinda enjoyed this albeit a tad oily. Best to share with 2-3 friends.
How about some Chinese Pizza ($10) for you? A Han family creation, the pizza is stuffed with seafood and pork fillings which are used in their dumplings too. Things can get a bit messy as the juices from the meat will seep out, alike a crispier version of a xiaolongbao or meat pie. Word of caution, it can get too addictive that a plate might not be enough. A definite crowd pleaser.

Jing Hua Restaurant has been around since 1989. With just 10 dishes and 5 desserts, they have managed to stay open for more than 20 years, has three outlets in Singapore and has even expanded overseas to Japan and Italy. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg
A stone's throw away from Bugis Street lies a hidden gem with delightful Chinese treats. Jing Hua is located right next to the famous sister branch of Keisuke Ramen (Bugis). My second time here after many years and I'm glad the food quality has maintained (even though I think the prices have gone up). The Guo Ties here are the star attraction- a crispy thick but light skin wraps around a generous filling of chives and minced pork, these fun-sized dumplings break apart to release all a good amount of porky essence (think XLB soup within the dumpling). 10 bite-sized dumplings for $8 isn't exactly cheap, but definitely worth a visit once in a while.
