Always a classic spot to have authentic Singaporean style seafood. The yam ring scallop was a bit meh, but the black pepper, chili crab, and baby squids were great!

Prosperity Salmon ‘Yu Sheng’, medium $58 from 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 ⠀

📍Jewel Changi, ION Orchard, East Coast, Riverside Point, The Riverwalk, Dempsey Hill ⠀

With the Chinese traditional, we usually have Lo Hei during 15 days of CNY. We went for our yearly must-have, 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝’s Prosperity Salmon ‘Yu Sheng’ and it was still as yummy! But with the mask on, no talking while tossing, the atmosphere feels so much quieter and awkward. Nevertheless, if you are a huge fan of ‘Yu Sheng’, we would highly recommend you 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝’s as this is our favourite and must-have every year! ⠀

Part 2 Chilled shredded roast duck salad & scallops wrapped in yam ring - 7.5/10 Roast duck is savory, tender. Mango sauce covering it is nice. Giving the sweetness side to duck. Yam ring with scallop is good.

What’s jumbo without their chili crab 🥺 Had this at a promo - 20% off crab and 2 boston lobsters for $88 (you can choose method of cooking). Seafood was super fresh and chili crab sauce was great - not too sweet and comes with a spicy kick which we love. Pair this with fried mantou for the full on shiok experience.

For lobster, would recommend trying it to be cooked as hokkien mee. Wok hey was on point and noodles were very flavourful/packed with seafood taste. Great portion too!

Jumbo now having 25% off for members. A much bigger crowd than when they offered 20% off. Be prepared to wait. And please check your order before leaving, thou if they got it wrong, you might have to wait longer. I ordered deshelled prawns. This was not it. Only found out when I got home. Shell stuck to the flesh. Overall tasted quite bland.

I ordered 2 pcs. This was surprisingly quite a lot for just 2 pcs. Tasted a bit bland.

The wait was almost an hr, thou I was told it would be 20-30mins. Supposed to be able to call in to order then go collect but the line was always engaged. Despite the horribly long wait, this Mee goreng was delicious.

Scrambled to find a Chinese place for reunion dinner that my empress dowager Aunt would approve of.
Jumbo was available just a week before yesterday, offering a 8pm booking and we went ahead. We picked a 6 course menu and added 2 signature chilli crabs with fried and steam mantous.
Everything was acceptable with some unexpected stand outs - like the good sesame tang yuans swimming in a pool of sugared cheng teng. Also the soft almost comparable to firm tofu, shiitake mushrooms in the braised baby abalone dish.
Of course the signature chilli crab was one of the better renditions around but my palate still preferred a chilli sauce based without peanuts yet Jumbo’s version is laden with bites of crushed peanuts.
Overall, for the price we were paying I couldn’t stop myself from wondering if I could find way superior alternatives for a similar price range.... maybe next year ✨

Tried Pocky X Yakun Kaya (Kaya flavour) a few months ago and loved it. This Pretz X Jumbo (Singapore Exclusive) Chilli crab flavour got us excited and we were not hesitant at all to put them in the shopping basket.🧺
Having said that, we found this flavour quite an oddball. If we did blindfold, we wouldn’t know that it’s a chilli crab flavour. We love Jumbo Seafood signature dish 💯 but it’s quite a push when it comes to biscuit sticks.🤔

Very flavorful Sambal chili sauce. The vege was fresh and crunchy. Great with rice.

Not as nice as the sweet and sour pork. The sauce was also quite sweet. I liked the spiciness.

This was really quite bland and not a lot of garlic. But could taste the fresh sweetness of the asparagus. Ask for more garlic.

The special spicy sauce was actually Sambal chili sauce. Very savory and spicy. Fried with garlic, spring onions and onions, and some slices of bell peppers. So fragrant. Included some fried mushrooms that burst with juice. Yummy.

Chinese spinach was soft and fresh. Supposed to have eggs, salted eggs and century eggs inside but I asked for no century eggs. Didn’t affect the taste one bit. Loved the broth. Immersed my rice inside and it was fabulous.

Very very tasty, with a spicy, slightly ketchupy flavor to the sauce. Lots of eggs inside. A beautiful dish.

Family favorite crispy you tiao covered in sesame and served with mayonnaise!
