Meatsmith Little India is Singapore’s first restaurant combining the taste of India, with fixed roots in American barbecue. This second edition of Meatsmith offers American barbecue from the south, with an accent of Indian flavour. With its colourful façade and street artwork, this outlet fits perfectly at its home, at Campbell Lane in the heart of Little India. Expect a masterful menu combining the technique of slow cooking and barbecue, with Indian spice, rubs and sauces. By adding a tandoor oven and spit roaster alongside the southern pride smoker, guests will receive a new experience in American barbecue. Expect dishes like spit-roasted butter chicken, bone marrow curry and a suckling pig biryani.

Not a wide range of desserts but one’d probably be toooooo full so the burnt coconut & jackfruit pudding works as a sweet ending. Sugarcane meringue, a pretty interesting jackfruit custard pudding, sea coconut cubes, raspberries. Liked how the textures all came together.

The coconut custard chocolate was fragrant but a tad sweet for me, those with sweet tooth will like this!

Aged & smoked duck, done three ways.

Also enjoyed the Duck Cigar ($10), very crisp fried spring roll skin encasing the tender pulled duck. The same savoury-sweet sauce here was a pretty good pairing too!

Done three ways, this was definitely one of my favourite meat dish here (not sure if people believe me after proclaiming almost everything as my favourite dish but THEY ARE!!)

So incredibly tasty with just a tinge of sweetness; very succulent, tender, with a crisp skin!

Loved everything about this - the suckling pig’s crackling skin, tender meat, fluffy aromatic basmati, thoughtful inclusion of lemon and refreshing raita in case it ever gets too rich, and the same darn tasty madras mustard that seems to complement everything so well.

Unfortunately this is excluded from burpplebeyond’s 1-for-1 main dish deal (but there’s still a lot of other delish dishes you could utilize the 1-for-1 for!)

Damn this is some juicy chicken. It's butter chicken but I haven't drizzled the butter goodness.
Personally, it was great even without the sauce.
Definitely worth coming again for this thang.

For a slightly more common fare but undoubtedly done well - the Bhaji onion rings (which are the only onions I’ll happily eat), was well-seasoned, and the batter was so light and crisp as it should be.
