This cosy, stalwart cafe (with several outlets across KL) lets their meat speaks for itself. The Australian Black Angus (RM59/100g) is prime, and best enjoyed Maria’s signature-style — with roasted potatoes and greens on the side. Though served without a sauce, the steak’s own meaty flavours come through beautifully.

A salad served with warm boiled potatoes, pork bacon bit, Parma ham, melted raclette cheese on a bed of green and white wine French vinaigrette.

The salad was served with thick chunks of bacon bits, fluffy boiled potatoes, and a generous helping of Parma ham. The raclette was served on toast adding a nice umami crunch to the simple salad. The white wine vinaigrette gave the dish a light but flavourful dressing, not overpowering. Simple, yet full of flavour, a very impressive dish.

Slow cooked pork tenderloin flambée with brandy in creamy porcini mushroom sauce. RM42 per portion.

My favourite Burgundy dish and it was well executed here. This 8-hours slow cooked beef cheeks in red wine sauce is so soft and tender. The sauce was reduced to a thick consistency which explains why it’s flavoursome and slightly salty to some but we wiped off the plate with slices of baguette though. RM48 per serving.

Warm boiled potatoes served with pieces of bacon bits, Parma ham, melted raclette on a baguette slice served on a bed of green salad. Overall was good and you could find great amount of bacons in it. Wish there were more salad leaves and don’t mind more raclette on the potatoes. But for the price paid, I’m not complaining further. RM22 per serving for small, RM32 for large.

Baked French snails with herbed butter . 💕 RM22 per portion.
