Celebrated Father's Day dinner with my family, and what better way to do so than with a good old Mookata in the heartlands. Bangkok Street Mookata has several branches across Singapore, but I've always felt that the one in Ang Mo Kio is the best. I used to visit frequently, and when I returned last Saturday, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the coffee shop had been renovated for the better. There are more seats, better spacing, improved lighting, and cleaner facilities, including a much-improved toilet. Overall, the atmosphere has significantly improved following the renovation.

The mookata was as good as ever, with generous portions at reasonable prices. Their garlic chicken remains the superior go-to dish and is a must-have. Other recommended dishes include bacon, quail eggs, luncheon meat, and, of course, tom yum maggi. What truly sets them apart and elevates their mookata experience are their two chili sauces. One is a thick, sweet chili, and the other, my personal favorite, is a wetter, spicier chili that resembles chicken rice chili sauce.

A new addition is their collaboration with the Thai cuisine store, allowing customers to place orders from them as well. We tried the Moo Ping, which was excellent—rightfully so, as it is run by a Thai family. I look forward to trying more of their dishes, such as basil chicken rice and tom yum soup, on my next visit.

The staff are nice and attentive, always ready to help change the gas or refill the soup. It can get quite crowded, with long queues on weekend dinners, so be prepared to wait a bit. Nonetheless, it's worth the wait, and Bangkok Street Mookata is a great place to gather with friends and family for a hearty meal. Highly recommended!

That Aroi Mookata, which serves some of the best and most authentic Thai dishes in town, promises only the finest ingredients that will transport you to Thailand without the need for a plane ride. Looking for a place to satisfy your cravings while also catching up with friends or family? Mookata steamboat provides a variety of ingredients that will sizzle and boil their way to your stomach and heart.

Consists of signature sauce pork belly, garlic pork collar, sesame chicken, black pepper chicken, green curry chicken, tom yum pork collar, crabstick, hot dog, cheese tofu, mushroom ball, Thai fish cake and luncheon meat.
Marination of meat were great, flavours were pretty well-absorbed while some needs more but lucky got their homemade Mookata chilli sauce to enhance the taste. I like their sour and spicy sauce the most as its helps in appetising my tastebud.
The grill was great as it doesn't stick much, leave little char and fast heating too. Great for hungry people.
The soup originally was pretty tasteless but after a long while of cooking, flavour improved.

Finally, visited @phukettownmookataamk to satisfy our meat craving!😆
Lucky we arrived at the coffee shop early cause as time pass by, you can see the place bustling with people eating Mookata almost on every table despite other stalls were still open.
We wanted to have Tom Yum Mama too but its only available after 10.30pm.

Overall, good, affordable and just another Mookata place.

Thai Iced Milk Tea
From the drinks stall of the coffeeshop. Well-balanced in tea taste and sweetness. May be not enough sweetness for some. Haha.

Resumption of bigger groups for dining in makes mookata all the more enjoyable! @phukettownmookataamk offers up one of the better mookata deals - approx $26 for their 2 person set which comes with quite a wide variety of meats. Their pork belly is a highlight!

Very lucky that came here without waiting for seat. Recommend that come here during weekday otherwise have to wait for the seats. The food here is superb yummy!
Must try!

Value for money with most of the dishes priced around $2. Meat was also well marinated.

Simple, good-to-honest ala carte mookata! Definitely one of the more affordable options for slightly better standard of meat than the usual cheap shitty mookatas, may return if I’m ever craving Mookata cause good value at this price point! 😄😄

If you're around Upper Thomson, this mookata stall located in Sembawang Hills Food Centre will be hitting all the right spots for a satisfying meal! Apart from the standard dishes, order up their signature Nosh Style Pork Belly ($3.40), Nosh Garlic Chicken ($3.40), Bakkwa ($5.80), Nosh Style Squid Nosh ($4.30) and Smoked Duck ($4.50). Taking a leaf out of Burppler Zhihui Lim's book, don't forget to add on their Cheese Dip ($5.80) which "was so shiok as a dip for the meats! Left on the sides of the grill, this was kept hot and oozy so you can have fun with the cheese pulls."

*Eligible for takeaway till 31 August 2021.

Huge fan of anything cheesy except nacho cheese but this was so shiok as a dip for the meats! Left on the sides of the grill, this was kept hot and oozy so you can have fun with the cheese pulls.

Aside from mookata, they also have Army Stew and the piquant, mildly spicy Tom Yum Hotpot noodle suitable for 1 pax.

Thank you @cweizhi for extending the invite and @noshkata_grill for having us!
