Food was average, but service left a bad taste.

Visited Grin Affair recently, attracted by a clearly advertised discount. However, when it came time to pay, the manager refused to honour the discount. There were no disclaimers stated anywhere on the listing, yet when we pointed this out, there was no effort made to recover the situation — no apology, no alternative offer, nothing.

We even kindly suggested they update their listing to avoid misleading future customers, but our feedback was brushed off with indifference.

Overall, very disappointing experience — not just because of the discount issue, but the poor attitude towards customer service. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to.

Normally Bengawan Solo is well known for its dessert, it's quite intriquing to find that they also have Nasi Lemak up for sale. Selling at $2.50 per packet, we think It is the most affordable Nasil Lemak in SG. We always love a good nasi lemak whether it is from the premium restaurants or the highstreet hawker stalls. The 3 components we saw in this banana leaf-wrapped style are the essentials: peanuts & anchovies, chilli and fried kuhning fish. 🥜🌶🐟 Bengawan Solo has done a great job with its sweet & spicy chilli & its crispy anchovi. Rice has good texture although not yet achieving the ideal coconut rice. Crispy anchovies and peanuts are crunchy & bountiful. The fried fish might not be crispy but you got crispy anchovies tagging along. These 3 masketeer ingredients will bring us back to be a regular here.

🤓 Daifuku is a subset of Mochi : daifuku has red bean paste filling (anko/tsubuan from adzuki beans) whereas mochi filling could be any fillings or none at all!
🍀Buying Tips🍀 A green mugwort daifuku (sold at chateraise) has middle hole (not that someone poke it). This is in contrast to the white mochi one.

Har cheong waffles was great, chicken skin had a smoky flavour and very crispy. Waffles was crispy too with a slight doughiness. Recommend the sambal mayo sauce 👍🏻

The satay burger on the other hand was not nice. The sauce given was too little so it was so plain. The bread was so dry and thick.

Lychee tart and fruits tart🤩 I prefer the fruits tart more 🤩 not to heavy , light cream and smooth there crust is soft and delicious ! 👍👍Their lychee tart so pretty! @wunderfolks..

Look at this awesome burger. So much goodness in it! Comes with fries too!

For truffle lovers!! Rich flavours and not too salty.

Very thick texture. Flavour's not bad, on the light side.

Very juicy, not dry at all. Good choice if you don't want the usual pasta. Waffles are fluffy as well.
