🍞 Chicky Satay
🇸🇬 National Day 2022 Special

Im surprised at how much this actually tastes like satay. Theres even peanut sauce to sell the whole satay schtick a little more.
The pastry is really crispy and the chicken is tender with that signature sweet and smokey satay taste. My gripe with it would be how little it is though, in relation to the price.

🤑 worth the price: eh
🦖 would I buy again: probs not

Oh goody! It’s snack time.
So, what’s my favourite snack? It’s definitely the freshly-made waffle at PrimaDéli, Jurong Point outlet that I’ll wait faithfully in the queue after 5pm daily. 😬
P.S. This ordinary-looking waffle oozes chocolate hazelnut when I take a bite. Shiok!

Laopobing had some green paste inside but it's sweet but couldn't rlly taste what it was
Egg tart was soft shell and shell abit too
This is my first time trying a Portuguese egg tart so I didn’t know the tart base was supposed to be croissant-based instead of buttery cookie-ish-based (aka the normal tart base). The pastry base was buttery and flaky, something I think people would like if they like eating croissants. I don’t really like them so I found myself wishing they were the normal tart base instead. The egg custard was super good though. It was eggy and mildly milky and creamy. It wasn’t super sweet either which made it very enjoyable to eat.
The perfect cake size for scaled down birthday celebrations in Covid times! In fact, I can have this all by myself!
Fluffy chocolate sponge layers creamed generously with their signature fresh white cream, chocolate cream and cocoa ball nibbles within. Topped with another layer of chocolate creams, nama chocolate squares (comparable to Royce’s) and dark chocolate balls
These slices Original ($7.80) and dark ($8.80) are successive layers of sponge and truffle cake melded together, and with a sifted cocoa powder top layer.
I usually like my chocolate dark (~65-70%), so the milk chocolate version was on the sweet side. The dark chocolate slice was slightly better in taste through it probably wouldn’t meet the chocolatey standard to cure PMS.
So for the price and taste, the ROI satisfaction: 65%
My first time at chocolates origin but found the cakes a tad dry. Chocolate drinks were also passable.
