This next western station (pun intended) opened in October 2022, and serves the most value for money, affordable rendition in this entire list.

It's good to see shoestring fries. Getting dips instead of a blended dish was disappointing, but overall quality was decent lah.

Typical small biz where the food is average but pricier than kopitiam due to rent. The plus was the premium egg used.

I was in the vicinity and hungry so came to this childhood stall. I regretted paying more for hotplate because I already enjoy the normal stuff. Their chicken was fantastic, but drenched in sauce. The onion made the meal better. Kudos to the soft potato too.

What you get here is normal roti john with a twist in the sauce - cheese tarik, salted egg, black pepper, creamy mushroom.

With sauteed mushrooms and mash. They're running a discount for whole menu so it's quite worthwhile. The cutlet was large and expertly fried. Very umami fungi too. Ignore the mash.

Italians, look away now for I have just put fish with cheese. Most people go to @commongrillsg for the steaks & other grilled meats, but I personally reckon that their baked rice is severely underrated. Baked rice is relatively simple in theory but hard to perfect in practice, and Collin’s comes pretty close to getting it right.⠀

The marinara sauce used with the rice is just the right blend of tangy & tasty, with just enough sweetness to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes and just enough salt to flavour everything. And of course, who can forget about the cheese carpet that’s melted over all that rice? Cheese & carbs are unbeatable, but the barramundi fillet certainly makes it even better. The fish fillet was well cooked with crisp skin and a moist flaky texture, and the fish went quite well with the marinara drenched rice.⠀

While I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Collin’s is affordable, their prices are certainly rather reasonable when you factor in the quality & quantity of their grub.

shoutout to the price point and quantity of food on the breakfast plate💗 for a big chunk of chicken cutlet on a giant waffle!🧇, it costs $15.90++, nothing on the menu for brunch is more than $20👍

(Whole - $16) I just bought it bc of my mum's craving ah lol but then bc another store at ci yuan cc closed for the day 😅. Spring Chicken gotta be a bit salty but some of part was unseasonal ah 🌝 but French fries gotta to be super salty.
