One of the seafood based dishes at Fleurette’s degustation menus. One thing different this time around was that they introduced Mizayaki Beef as an add on ($98 per 100g) to the $228 menu’s cost. 🤭

Fleurette does Asian inspired Fish dish of the night. Believe it was anago? Could not really catch what server was saying through the music/mask.

Yes, I’ve had Donabe Rice several times (with different ingredients) and yes, I have had binchotan-grilled Wagyu Beef just as many times if not more. But having both simultaneously was a first for me, and we were even told to enjoy them together.
Verdict: I loved the outcome! 😋😋😋
Those huge, creamy oysters that had been braised in sake, shoyu, mirin and loads of butter, were broken up before being mixed into the piping hot rice to be served to us in individual bowls. After slicing up the smoky, melt-in-mouth Miyazaki A5 Wagyu (it had a crazy marbling factor of 11), we popped the oyster rice on top and enjoyed a “surf & turf” of the most delectable and flavourful kind.
I can’t wait to return to @fleuretterestaurant to discover what Chef-owner @tariqhelou has up his sleeves.

I rarely would go for a cream-based pasta dish but this was highly recommended by the wait staff! The sauce was really addictively good, it wasn't as "jelat" as most cream-based pastas.

Getting some good ol' classic cocktails in during happy hour. From left to right: Negroni / Whiskey Sour / Old Fashioned (2 for $25++)

Great ambience, solid cocktails, friendly service. It's a bit of a walk from Farrer Park MRT (which keeps autocorrecting to career park, garment park, fatter park)... But I will be back!

Located along owen road sits The Palmary, with a contemporary exterior and stepping into a minimalistic interior colored with big palm leaves leave you with a very relaxing bar like vibe. Their main selections are not very extensive, and we decided to go for their wagyu. We ordered medium and it was done to perfection. Browned well on the outside revealing hues of maroon red meat which was tender and not the least dry at all. The wagyu was rather well seasoned and not too heavily flavored such that you could still taste the natural freshness and sweetness of the wagyu. Highly recommend for the quality over quantity!

The scallops were absolutely delicious. Plump enough for a satisfying mouthfeel and cooked just nice go retain all the savoury juices. 5 pieces no less, which made this dish a steal. So we didn't really mind the lack of flavours of the burnt mentaiko sauce, which just tasted like normal cream.

Great fish dish. But the highlights are their other dishes! Try their squid, lobster, mushroom soup, lamb too!

Would love more of those

Other than the food arriving a little slow, the service here is just impeccable.. Extremely polite gentlemen as our servers for the evening
