($4.50+) I felt that matcha taste for muffin and sauce itself was quite weird and sweet tbh. I always missed this limited edition flavour a lot of times since they released on Apr or Sep depends on the seasonal period. But the muffin was quite dry and complement with white chocolate sauce inside the muffin. It was a bit disintegrated, sauce melted it off and got oil spilled it through (paiseh due to misplaced)

Bought the carrot, earl grey lavender, cookie & cream & salted caramel ($10.70) by using the Entertainer App.

Cupcake was above average but not mind blowing. My favourite would be the carrot flavour

Plain vanilla have very excellent cupcakes and of all the cupcakes, white chocolate strawberry is my favourite.

-White chocolate strawberry
-Chocolate banana
-Red velvet

Red velvet and chocolate banana also quite good.

Generally, all their cupcakes are good.

Quite expensive, each cupcake is about $4 each.

💸 Cinnamon brown sugar brioche donut
...
A dessert place known for their delectable cupcakes🧁, Plain vanilla serves up a spread of other bakes as well which will definitely satisfy any dessert lover! Today, we decided to try their cinnamon brown sugar brioche donut filled with brown sugar custard and rolled in cinnamon sugar.😋 The donut itself was great being soft and airy!🍩 However, there was too much brown sugar custard and with it being so sweet, it got a bit jelat after a while and we had to remove some of the custard.😫 As we're not really a fan of really sweet food, maybe this could be a great dessert for someone with a sweet tooth? Though we'll probably stick to their good ol' trusty cupcakes next time, or try out some of those lovely looking loaf cakes instead☺️

Great start to the day with these cupcakes from Plain Vanilla Ion! They sell out really early even on a weekday so its advisable to call them to reserve your bakes before heading down.

I had the 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧, 𝐂𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞, and 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐲.

The 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 was one of the flavours I enjoyed. Stuffed with fresh strawberry chunks, it is best advised to be consumed on the day itself. Definitely an interesting and unique flavour for a cupcake!

Overall, I had much higher expectations for their cupcakes given the raving reviews, but I personally prefer a buttercream for frosting on cupcakes as opposed to the icing sugar they used, which imo was powdery and didn’t go well with the cupcake. However, the cupcake was still moist even after a few days, so that was impressive!

Great sweet bread, not overpriced

Perfect addition to your coffee, must try

We used the entertainer 2 for 2 so we got 4 cupcakes for $8.70. The original price of each cupcake is $4.20 but we got one seasonal flavour so we had to pay an additional $0.30.
Cookies & Cream - chocolate cupcake itself was not bad but the buttercream tasted too sweet & artificial (4/10)
Red Velvet - biggest disappointment bc the buttercream did not have any cream cheese flavour at all (3/10)
Salted Caramel - the best out of the 4 bc it didn’t taste as artificial as the rest but it was slightly too sweet for our liking (6/10)
Dark chocolate marshmallow (seasonal flavour) - tasted like an ordinary chocolate cupcake, cream on top did not have the texture of a marshmallow & we didn’t taste any marshmallow (5/10)
Overall I would say that the pv cupcakes were a really big disappointment (only saving grace is that it looks aesthetic) & we would not be back for more :(

💵: $5

🤔: Lives up to its name of being a lemon loaf as it indeed has a sour kick to it. Found the glaze to be a bit too sweet for my liking, but my dad liked it so much he ate the entire slice.

💵: $8.50

📈: 5.5/10

🤔: Has a strong rosemary scent and was pretty moist, but was too sweet, at least to me. Had to wash it down with milk and only had 1/2 of it as I did not want to get a sugar high.

🤔: Pricey for a donut, but definitely worth the price and calories. The chocolate filling was rich and topped with hazelnuts - delicious! Dough was pillowy and slightly chewy, just the way I like it.

I like the crust - it is short and goes well with the filling. The milk chocolate filling is rich and sweet (not overly sweet given that it’s milk chocolate) but I find there is too much filling to crust so I did scrap a lot of the filling off. If you are a milk chocolate lover you will enjoy this tart.

I prefer the chocolate crust from their salted caramel truffle tart to this plain crust. I also prefer the dark chocolate filling to this. I only wish the salted caramel truffle tart came without the caramel. The addition of the caramel makes it far too sweet for me.

The cupcakes are quite nice, although it is not for me as the frosting is too sweet for my liking. It is a typical american buttercream that contains way too much sugar. Regardless, the cake itself is extremely fluffy and flavourful -- so if you like sweet frosting, this is for you!

Rich and hearty bakes! That Salted Caramel Cupcake ($4.20) was the best cupcake I've ever had in my life. You CANNOT go to Plain Vanilla and not order their cupcakes. Dense, moist and very rich. I had these all to myself, a little cheat day for me! Their Peanut Butter Brownie ($7) and Dark Chocolate Marble Cake ($5) are pretty awesome as well! But undoubtedly, hands down, the undisputed star was their Salted Caramel Cupcake. Money well spent and a must try!!

They used English breakfast tea mixed with honey and lemon juice for this drink. Very pleasant to drink. Sweet sour ratio was perfect. Too much ice thou. Had to drink quickly or the ice will make it tasteless. I expected less ice for the price. They actually forgot my order too, until I went to ask for it.

Not sure of the washable metal straw thou. I kept wondering how they wash the inside of this narrow straw. In the end I removed it and drank straight from the glass. Small little cafe with very limited seats located in a clothing store. Had to consult directory to find it after endless rounds of searching.

Came for their cup cakes. All sold out on a fri at 4.30pm! And they just took delivery of their second batch of cupcakes some more 😤 Sthg to do with Chope promotion. Only 2 deliveries a day.

Got this last dessert available to comfort myself. It was really very sweet. Mainly bcos of the creme brûlée crust on top. I expected the strawberries inside to curb the sweetness, but the fruit was sweet as well. Tart shell was really buttery thou. Far too sweet for me overall. My companion, who has a sweet tooth, adored it.

This is my favourite cupcake place! All the flavours I've tried so far are good and I can't even pick a favourite. Every one of them is moist and definitely not flaky like some cupcakes which fall apart after you bite into it.
I also like that the toppings/frostings are not overly sweet.

It's a little pricey but for the quality you get, I think it's a great treat to have every once in a while! Take note that their ION Orchard branch doesn't get their cupcake stock until around 12PM so if you reach any earlier, you won't be able to get any.

Their coffee brew is always decent.

Cupcakes quality may vary a little. Prefer the outlet at telok ayer as the cupcakes are a bit more moist in my opinion. A little too sweet for the white chocolate flavour but overall enjoyable.

If you have been wasting calories all your life eating pineapple tarts, it’s time to take a serious look at this Pineapple Butter cupcake from @pvbakery (for a limited time only!). When you take a bite of the cupcake, icing and caramelised pineapple ball on the top, you get that buttery, moist sponge with bits of caramelised pineapple, a little spiced icing and just a little more of that sticky pineapple goodness - tastes exactly like a pineapple tart with a completely different texture. I guarantee the experience is at least ten times better than eating a pineapple tart. But please, don’t take my word for it, go and experience this for yourself before the flavor run ends. You’ll have some competition from me though. #burpple #pvbakery

It’s hidden inside a boutique. They serve pretty good coffee and cupcakes.
