I would advise not mixing the drink, and instead SLOWLY sip up the perfect layers of creamy milk, brown sugar, and warm chewy tapioca pearls. This 青蛙撞奶 version from R&B is highly raved by a friend, and so here’s it is. Slightly less sweet than Tiger and pearls more chewy than many other brands.
This cup ($4.50) looks simple and though not very pretty with brown streaks at the sides of the cup, it was full of brown sugar flavour and the pearls were chewy as well.
Definitely my place to go for brown sugar bb tea! In my personal opinion, R&B got the best brown sugar bb tea because of their fragrance & thick brown sugar added at a reasonable price.

Finally tried brown sugar series drink after seeing it repeatedly 😅 Heard that this one is one of the best around so had this as my first. I like that the brown sugar boba is warm and it goes nicely with the cold milk. However I think this is too jelat after a while, the brown sugar is too sweet for my liking. Had to follow the crowd and try one of this so we could judge for ourself what the craze was about. Our first cup in a long time, and this didn’t disappoint, though it was sweeter than we liked. The warm pearls went really well with the ice cold tea. The pears were also the best we’ve ever had, as they were nice and chewy, and had clearly been in the brown sugar mixture for a long time. If anything, we hoped for a slightly stronger flavour from the tea, especially in the form of some bitterness.

Having tried the regular brown sugar boba milk twice, this is still to date, my favorite brown sugar boba milk in Singapore so far ; though I have yet to try Tiger Sugar’s version. Topped up a dollar for the cheese brûlée that’s torched with a crisp, caramelised sugar crust (swipe to view). Personally love cheese foam on my beverages and hence I do agree that it’s worth the top up of $1 for this creamy cheese cloud that comes with a pleasant lingering saltiness, adding another dimension of flavour to the luscious sweetness of the brown sugar flavoured fresh milk. The brûlée (caramelised sugar crust) provided a pleasant crisp mouthfeel, coupled with a tinge of sweetness that’s great for the sweet tooths out there (and especially for me🤓)! 🙋🏻♀️ The pearls are also soft and slightly chewy, which does not require much effort to chew on, to which I personally prefer(pardon my laziness🤭). Love how Meiji fresh milk is used here, which accounts for the fragrant dairy aroma! 💖 For those that have tried Tiger Sugar, do let me know which is better (to you peronsally) by commenting below! Finally got to try out @rbteasg after hearing raves about their brown sugar pearls, and boy was I not disappointed!

I ordered their Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Pearls ($3.90 for S, $4.70 for L) and watched them prepare the drinks. Their brown sugar pearls are kept warm and they slowly simmer and cook amidst melted brown sugar, giving you that sweet, soft yet chewy texture of the pearls. Pair it with their milk tea, which doesn’t come with any sugar, the leftover sugar from the pearls will help to sweeten the drink up.

the texture was on point. i loved the contrast of the warm pearls w the cold milk. the sweetness of the sugar complemented the milk, and it was surprisingly well balanced. honestly still don’t rly uds the craziness abt them esp the insane queues but i must say this cup exceeded my expectations and i wld actually get it again :~)
