@meatandgreetsg has moved to Joo Chiat recently operating on a takeout and delivery basis with their pastas and sandwiches! I had the duck confit pasta and it was flavourful with pasta cooked al dente with tender duck meat. It was a bit on the salty side for me but I still enjoyed it nevertheless. Their smoked meats will be available when their smoker arrives so do check out their Instagram account for updates!
Thank you @meatandgreetsg for the delicious food! โบ๏ธ
Had @nuodle.asia's soy sauce noodles which had simple flavours but done well with the variety of textures in this dish. The noodles were super smooth and silky making them easy to slurp, the beef was tender and the chickpeas were very crispy too! I had the set meal which includes a side and a drink/soup so I got an onsen egg and a beef ball soup. It was a good meal indeed ๐
Chanced upon @dearborn_sg when I was at Everton Park and got attracted to their shop because it smelt so good ๐คค we tried the dark chocolate and hazelnut with sea salt granola with milk and it was really yummy with chunks of dark chocolate and hazelnuts in it. Will go back again to try the other flavours! ๐ค
Hidden in Everton Park, @myo_cafe offers affordable rice, pasta and side dishes that come in a variety of flavours. We tried the tomyam prawn pasta, laksa prawn pasta, chicken karaage with sriracha mayo and Thai iced tea! Portions were generous and the prawns were fresh too. We just would have liked them more if they were more spicy as the tomyam was more on the sour side and the laksa was rather creamy. The chicken karaage was crispy and made a nice addition to our meals as well ๐
@koal.grill is one of @lesamisgroupsg's new concepts featuring grilled dishes and I visited recently for their lunch set which consists of a starter, rice bowl and a dessert.
I picked Burrata Salad for my starter and was pleasantly surprised to see that Burrata was the majority of the dish compared to those that have Burrata on salad greens. It was refreshing and appetising and I liked it a lot.
My choice of main was the US Ribeye rice bowl which came with ikura, scallion & wakame salad, mar inated shimeji, charred broccoli along with an onsen egg. The rice bowl was tasty and flavourful and the beef had a nice char to it too. Parts of the beef were a bit too tough and I would have liked it if it was more tender.
I had the Freshly Fried Donut with raspberry coulis for dessert and it came piping hot indeed. I liked how it was fluffy and the raspberry coulis' tangy flavour was complemented by the sugar on the donut.
Overall I thought the set lunch was a good deal and I would be back to try the other items soon! ๐คค๐คค
I liked the Signature Spicy Miso Tsukemen that I had at @tonichitsukemensingapore which had noodles that came with a spicy miso dipping sauce. The miso was fragrant and the meat was tender. I enjoyed this meal a lot and will be back for more! ๐
Nestled in Sims Drive, a few minutes walk from Aljunied MRT, @minusdegreesg serves gelato and waffles along with drinks like affogato which make a good respite from the heat! The waffles were crisp outside and fluffy inside and did not become soggy easily while we were eating it. They have a wide variety of gelato flavours that can be rather unique, we had Korean strawberry chamomile and pistachio. They were on the sweeter side and the chamomile wasn't very prominent because it was overpowered by the strawberry but it's still a good place to get decent waffles and ice cream. The affogato had strong coffee as well, with the bitterness neutralised by the sweetness of the ice cream.
Thank you @minusdegreesg for the invite and the food! :)
Loving these buns from @madubakerysg! Got the Mentaiko bun and the garlic cheese buns this time and they're still so fluffy with a whole lot of filling in them ๐ They're a lot easier to get now without the few months waitlist so yay to more buns ๐
Visited @asaru.studio last month and I loved how it felt like an escape from the quick pace of life in Singapore. Got to have a strawberry daifuku, matcha roll cake, coffee and matcha here during my one hour session and enjoyed the atmosphere along with the interesting conversations we had as well. They also sell unique items and I was attracted to the ceramic pieces here ๐ I enjoyed my experience very much ๐
The menu changes every 2 months so I'll be back soon!
@gochiso.shokudo's mille feuille cheese tonkatsu is crispy outside and tender on the inside complemented by the cheese added to it. The set was filling and everything was.good but I would have liked more cheese in the tonkatsu ๐
Recently noticed @chowzanplq1 while looking for dessert in @payalebarquarter and they have a wide range of desserts to choose from. After quite a lot of thinking, I had the black sesame paste with tangyuan and I liked how the texture and flavour was just right, it was fragrant but not too thick or too sweet too. The tangyuan had a lot of peanut filling and the skin was rather thin as well. I had this with tea that is served with a pot so it is quite a good deal! Shall try other desserts here another time ๐
Tried kong guksu (chilled soy milk noodle soup) for the first time and I've been constantly craving it since. I loved how it was refreshing and creamy with a savoury touch at the same time ๐ Shared a bowl along with a samgyeopsal set which included steamed eggs and a soup which made our meal too complete ๐ this place is small so reservations are recommended and they get booked up fast too!
