When you mix Dilmah Fragrant Green Tea with Apple Juice and Lemon Juice, you get Apple Mar-Ti-Ni (S$12.00)! I like the idea of infusing tea into cocktails and mocktails, but given the steep price and small serving, I would say: give me alcohol instead!

Months after my first visit here with the Burpple folks, I came back again to try out their other foods. This time, I got the CM-PB Burger (S$28.00) that is made up of a 180g Wagyu beef patty. At medium-rare, the meat remains juicy and delicious, yet the bun did not end up as a soaked diaper. The sauce and butter used in the burger complemented the ingredients quite well, and the spiced fries and salad were delicious too!

What's missing? Beer. Kronenbourg is available at S$12.00 a pint before 9.00pm!

A wonderful feeling you get when you cut open a hot battered fish on a cold rainy day, and to reveal steam from the chunky white flesh. Tender, moist, flavourful and oh so addictive to have, CM-PB’s Crispy Fish Bites ($16) was simple yet well-executed. The thin tempura-like batter was just like a light and crisp cocoon to the succulent flaky fish inside. Great as a snack or small bite while having a cocktail or in my case a glass of tea mocktail made from Dilmah Tea.

At the last stop of the Dilmah Tea Trail, we were treated to beautifully done bar snacks in the form of crispy fish bites and deep fried prawns and calamari, paired with an apple Mar-Tea-Ni cocktail.

The batter encasing the fried calamari and prawns was satisfactorily crisp and light on the oil, and the tasty tartar sauce on the side added to the flavorsome fried goodness. But those fish bites outright stole the limelight with how fantastic they were.

Crispy and light on the outside, the fish bites were packed full of moist, flaky and superbly savory fish that makes one think of ridiculously excellent fish & chips. Which it essentially is, when you think about it. The smoky, sensually savory dip on the side that's NOT thousand island just accentuates all the pleasant attributes of those fabulous fish bites, and adds even more terrific flavor into each and every bite.

While I didn't quite like the Apple Mar-Tea-Ni due to it being overwhelming on the sharp, tart notes of sour apple which drowned out any trace of the fragrant jasmine green tea, I did appreciate how well it cut through the greasiness and richness of these addictive bar bites and cleared out my palate for the next round to come.

From hot teas to cold teas and even tea mocktails, never knew there were so many interesting possibilities with teas! 🍵 Had a fanTEAstic day on board the Dilmah Tea Trail learning more about their range of teas along with various food pairings! Sluuuuuuurp.

A huge thank you to @dilmahsg & @foodcultpr for organizing, leading the trail and feeding us with all the teas and food, and of course, @burpple for the kind invite! 🙆🏻 #DilmahSG

One of my favourite places to chill at Dempsey! We tried 4 tea pairings including this Sticky Date Pudding with a Chai D'Italia mocktail. Perfect end to the day of tea pairings by Dilmah where we got to try 12 type of tea pairings at 3 cafes/restaurants plus had the opportunity to learn to brew a perfect cup of tea at Jiu Zhuang.
Thanks @DilmahSG & @Burpple for arranging such an awesome tea trail!
