Crispy on the edges, soft in the middle. The seafood & spring onion pancake was packed with prawns, squid and scallions. Served hot in a skillet, easy to share and perfect with that tangy dipping sauce 》$17.80 / Small

The tofu stew was mildly spicy with soft tofu and veggies in a hearty broth. The seafood gave it a briny sweetness that made the stew more layered and flavourful. Adding kimchi gave it that extra tang and depth. Paired with brown rice and a spread of banchan, it was a wholesome and comforting 》$20.80

Crispy on the outside, juicy inside with a glossy soy‑garlic glaze that’s sweet and savoury. The pickled radish and cabbage salad keep things fresh. Easy to enjoy and perfect for sharing 》$25 / Half Chicken

The pork bulgogi came warm and flavourful with tender slices of pork coated in a sweet‑spicy glaze without being overwhelming. Went with brown rice for a healthier choice and paired nicely with the richness of the meat.

The banchan added variety and balance. Crunchy kimchi, seasoned spinach, stir‑fried mushrooms and sweet‑savoury lotus root with that gentle bite 》$20.80

Time for some nutrient! Samgye Tang lunch set. Good value and very filling. ❤️

Boribab - where the rice is boiled with barley. I liked the ingredients, each component was tasty but not salty nor heavy flavoured, variety of vegetables was good too. I particularly enjoyed the spinach and Korean beansprouts. Beef slices were cooked with onions and both were tender! Came with a smol bowl of doenjang stew which had cubed potatoes, zucchini(?) and firm tofu, was comforting but a little salty. Rice was slightly sticky, not too wet nor dry, was decent. Compared to hana k food’s (at velocity) bibimbap, this was cleaner/lighter in flavour. I would patronise either restaurant again when I’m hankering for Korean food.

Spicy Seafood Sundubu Lunch set ($14.80). Soup wasn't hot and was very clear-tasting i.e. not as rich and savoury as I hoped. My benchmark for Sundubu is SBCD till now, and this is nowhere near. Also, their waiting time can be crazy long - my boss waited 45min for his pork collar.

Order this when you are here for $18.80 ! Will not disappoint . Soup was substantial with lots of tofu and pork and it tasted homely! Set comes with purple rice and 5 side dishes that were great especially the fried fish! Nice owner as well! The fried jeon platter has some hits and misses but is worth a try for sharing $18.80.

My stew was not served piping hot, and as a result the egg they cracked in the center did not get cooked. Ended up eating around the raw egg white. The lunch sets are reasonably priced tho

@hansang_korean: had their jjm, sikhye and seafood pajeon but I was quite disappointed with the jjm and sikhye :,,(. The jjm noodles were okay and seemed homemade and were quite Q but they didn’t absorb (??) the JJM sauce well (maybe due to the size/thickness of the noods!!) 🥺 The sikhye also tasted veryyy diluted and store-bought and wasn’t worth the price! Thankfully, the redeeming factors of the meal were the seafood pajeon (crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside) which was a lil small HAHA and the banchan (not pictured)!! Would be back to try the Kbbq but not the jjm & sikhye 😅

Thumbs up to their collagen rich sundubu stew, don't let the colour make you think it's spicier than it is, I got the Kimchi, cheese and pork belly sundubu (tofu stew) and its overall a satisfying soup with it's mix spice and abundant with their pillow light tofu!

It's a place for authentic korean cuisine, and for ~$19, we got a pot of roasted rice with a bit of char taste and goguma (sweet potato), their banchan side dishes and two fried fish (we didn't like it cos it's more floury and mushy)

Definitely a spot to go to with family and friends but do take note that the waiting time for food can take a...while...

Hansang Korean Family Restaurant in Square 2 @ Novena is slightly pricey, but there is a wide variety of authentic-sounding Korean dishes and snacks. https://hungryghost.sg/hansang-korean-family-restaurant/

Kimchi, pork and cheese Hansang Sundubu (S$11.80++)
Available at @hansang_korean in @square2sg during lunch
Served with banchan and korean roasted barley tea
Served in a small metal pot with rice by the side.
There’s sausage and luncheon meat in it. It may looked simple but surprisingly appetizing.

Quite a decent pancake but nothing too spectacular except appreciated the generosity of ingredients (sotong everywhereee). Was more on the eggy side than the typical doughy pancake and portion is a little small for the price (~1/3 a normal pancake?). Not totally worth even with the lunch deal but I guess ok to get if you’re craving? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Actually quite liked their version of the korean JJM! Unlike the usual thick bouncy noodles, the flat yet heavy silky white noodles were well cooked with the right amount of firmness and bounciness, and they held up that thick gooey black bean sauce so well!! 🤤🤤 Side dishes were pretty simple with kimchi and spinach (and unlikely refillable) with no drinks, but just a nice simple korean restaurant to have a quick lunch ☺️☺️

Had the promo lunch set - Soondubu chigae with pork. They advertised that their soondubu is made fresh daily, using good quality beans so i had to try it!

Verdict, the tofu is good! The entire dish is well done and I enjoyed the meal. I opted for the brown rice. Sadly, when I asked to refill the sides, the waitress said ‘$2’ 😔...

There must be something special with this tofu because how can tofu be so GOOooOoOd?? Of course the kimchi soup is the key but somehow the texture of the tofu just elevates it. Go for the lunch sets here, but don’t expect big portions.

Third stop of our Square 2 @ Novena food trail… Han Sang Korean BBQ!
Absolutely love Korean BBQ. Had to rush off to another tasting, so didn't get to try much of this and the last food trail place, but would've loved to eat more of this premium BBQ meat. A set for two is around $120.

We came for the hotpot but everyone ended up ordering different stuff 😆 Nice and homey place but the service staff needs to be more attentive.
