I love the cutlets - so freshly cooked n crisp! The noodles in soup broth is good too. Overall a great lunch!
The Braised Beef Combination Noodles ($17.90) from Lenu Chef Wai’s Noodle Bar comes with braised Wagyu beef, tendon and shank in a robust beef broth. The beef is braised thoroughly and fall-apart tender. The braised beef soup is packed with flavour and it goes really well with the thin la mian. This is one hearty bowl of beef noodles that exceeded my expectations!
The dry bowl of chilli wanton noodles was what i needed to give a good kick for the day. The la mian was plentiful. All in all, a very huge fulfilling meal for a Sunday brunch to slowly enjoy n share with family.
The broth is lovely down your throat, very soothing. The wantons are a mouthful of delicious pork n veggies. The la mian was plentiful. All in all, a very huge fulfilling meal for a Sunday brunch to slowly enjoy with family.
I opted no spring onion and vege. The noodles were too hard for me, had a hard time chewing. The sauce was also salty. I was expecting to serve with soup but sadly it doesnt. Meat was on point.
All time favorite! This bowl never disappoints especially when you crave for hot noodle soup. You can choose the type of soup and noodle - which my usual order would be beef soup prickled vege + la mian (pictured is rice noodle). A bowl is about S$10.90

It has a bold salty sweet savoury flavour that is delicious and addictive. I chose the chewy cylindrical hand-pulled la mian all-purpose flour noodles to accompany.

I loved the contrast of flavours and textures from the ingredients; the soft crunch of the vegetal sweet young bean sprouts; the firm crunch of the sweet savoury fishy nutty candied anchovies and roasted peanuts in white sesame marinade.
.
Completed with the light salty sour flavour of the crunchy pickled mustard greens; the light wispy shreds of savoury salty fishy katsuobushi / bonito fish flakes; and the fresh crisp texture of the vegetal herbal sweet spring onions.

I wish they'd slice the wagyu thinner, and gave more of it, for a well-rounded meal.

Thick and rich broth - you could tell they boiled it for a long & good time. Broth was super rich with a very beefy taste. Shank & tendon portions were quite generous for $12.50++! Really liked it with the salted veggies. Would come back again to try their pork bone soup! Also great & attentive service.
The broth was key. Dark coloured from the intense flavours packed in the clear soup that bathed the ramen. Go for the pickled vegetable soup for a sour kick.
There’s choices of various cuts of beef, including their yummy beef tendon that’s just irresistible. Complete the ramen with some of their sides for a hearty meal that will satisfy.
Had to get this cos we both loved this dish. Interesting how they incorporated the flavours of Mala into this... not super overpowering but it’s definitely there. I particularly loved the fillings. Goes well with the signature anchovies noodles cos it didn’t have much meat in there.
Also got the la mian for this. I loved how the noodles still tasted distinctively of the beef broth even without drinking the soup. Wagyu Beef cubes were soft to bite and breaks apart easily... very nice.
Both their beef soup and tonkotsu soup are on the lighter end but definitely not compromising on flavour. I think it’s nice. But the tonkotsu broth wins a little over the beef for me. $15.90 for this bowl.
Chose the ramen version.
The sauce is surprisingly very good... but my bf and I weren’t too fond of the added textures of the peanuts. Perhaps too big pieces? Table beside me ordered two bowls of this and I noticed most patrons ordered this. Probably their most popular item.
Addition $1.90 for the small bowl of tonkotsu soup at the side. Soup is great but non refillable so for that price with such a small amount. Not worth it at all
I felt that LeNu is kinda underrated (though increasingly popular). Pop by during 3-5pm for 30% discount. I think most worthwhile is the pork chop or the chicken. A+ for the soup I love it!!
In Signature Pork Bone Soup. I preferred this broth over the beef one... so flavorful and rich! Didn’t enjoy the la mian as much. Next time I’ll either try the thick vermicelli instead, or the version with no noodles.
In braised beef broth. Soup was tasty and beef cubes tender. Best to eat all the beef cubes first so they don’t keep cooking in the hot soup!
I had high expectations of this dish because each dumpling looked so plump and juicy.
It was a pity that they skin was not as smooth and thin as I would have liked it to be and there was a strong porky smell.
The chilli vinegar sauce was also not sourish enough to give that oomph. I would say stick to the dry scallion noodles instead and give this a miss .
