The stall claims to not use any MSG, but the chicken broth is naturally rich in flavour which was satisfying. While I still prefer tonkotsu broth for my ramen, this bowl is still a pleasant choice as it presents itself as a simple delicacy. A relatively small shop, but the staff were very welcoming and kind. For a 4.5 star rating on Google, I was pretty excited for Matsuri and expecting to be mindblown, though alas, there was nothing much that stood out to me in particular. Maybe I tried the wrong dish?

Thick ramen noodles generously crowned with spring onions, onsen egg, seaweed, and spicy minced meats. It's like Dan Dan noodles but with a Japanese twist. The noodles are incredibly slurpy and bursting with flavour. For an extra kick, add some fried garlic. Once you've savoured all the noodles, don't hesitate to request a small saucer plate of rice to mix with any leftover sauce. And here's a bonus โ€“ if you're feeling particularly hungry, you're in for a treat as they offer a free upsize on the noodles. Plus, there's a complimentary jug of cold tea on the table, perfect for quenching your thirst.

Pro tip: Arrive early to avoid the queue.

Stated as the number 1 rich chicken soup in Singapore since 2014, most people would come here for their signature chicken broth ramen or mazesoba.

The Torikoku Special would be their signature chicken broth ramen, comes with 2 type of meats in the bowl. You get both chashu and chicken fillet, which both complement with smooth texture.

The chicken broth has the subtle hints of chicken stock aroma in it.

I checked on google that they open till 10.30 pm, but didnโ€™t know that they actually break in between.
So I only have 20 mins to order and finish it my ramen.
We ordered Jet Black Tonkotsu Ramen.
I like that we can choose our noodle texture and soup.
The broth made from squid ink and pan-fried garlic. Itโ€™s tasty and at the end of my meal , I feel a bit salty for me (but I ask for extra oil ), itโ€™s Topped with black miso and pork.
The pork sliced thin n tender.
๐Ÿ’ฐ$14.9.

Perfect for a rainy day - chicken ramen with gyoza
Around $22/pax
Comes with free upsize noodles and they have dry ramen as well. Apparently itโ€™s the sister stall of Kajiken. Have been to Kajiken countless of times but first time here and enjoyed their soup ramen.

Reasonably priced don for a quick lunch fix (option for less price at the same price tho). Love how itโ€™s generous with the sukiyaki pork slices, ginger bits and onset egg! Itโ€™s what you would expect from another Japanese place - quality promised. While it says on the menu, Gyu don, donโ€™t expect the thick-cuts as you would from Waacow or higher end Japanese restaurants. For the price of $15.90, youโ€™re getting a pretty decent portion of sliced guy cooked in soy marinade. Itโ€™s tender, smooth and โ€ฆ fresh! Nothing like indigestible beef fats nor oiliness that leaves an unpleasant meat-breath in your mouth. Youโ€™re not seeing any onions in the mix cos Iโ€™ve asked for onion-free version (yours truly dislike onions!) The standard bowl is served with onions!

I liked the Signature Spicy Miso Tsukemen that I had at @tonichitsukemensingapore which had noodles that came with a spicy miso dipping sauce. The miso was fragrant and the meat was tender. I enjoyed this meal a lot and will be back for more! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Ramen Bar Suzuki is a quaint ramen shop hidden in Circular Road and it does have pretty interesting flavours, including emerald ramen?? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ However, we decided to go with something more conventional and we ordered the pure white ramen, which is basically a tonkatsu-based ramen with two pieces of chashu and a huge piece of seaweed!

Ramen Bar Suzuki uses thin ramen noodles and we liked that they got us the texture that we requested, as we like our noodles harder rather than soggy. Cha shu was also great as the meat was tender and there was a generous fatty layer on it. However, we thought the broth wasn't flavourful enough and we felt that it could be a little stronger on the "porky" taste. On the brighter side though, the broth is a little more drinkable as it isn't overly thick or salty. Also, Suzuki adds cut ginger to this dish, which infuses the broth with the spice; you may want to indicate that you would like the ginger to be served separately if you don't want your ramen broth to taste like ginger soup.

You can order the lunch set, which includes a bowl of ramen and two pieces of chicken karaage at around $16, which is fairly average. However, the stall is pretty popular with the lunchtime CBD crowd so you may need to queue a while before you can get a seat.

Went to lunch w friends and ordered a Beppu ramen - essentially ramen w assorted seafood such as prawn, crabstick, mussels + other ingredients such as bamboo shoots, corn, seaweed and half hanjuku egg (16.80++). We also ordered cuttlefish mayo (8.80++) and pork gyoza (5.80++) to share. I also ordered a lime juice (3.50++) that is refillable - a definite must order if you are going to challenge yourself to high spicy levels.

The ramen has customisable spicy level that ranges from 1 to 8. As a ๅฐ่พฃ eater, i only dared to opt for level 1 and I still felt like its quite spicy but the spiciness gels well with the soup. Overall a decent ramen and would rate it a 3.5/5

Im always a huge fan of mayo and the cuttlefish mayo is to die for. Instead of just providing mayo at the side, they drizzled the cuttlefish with mayo and torched it slightly, giving it a smoky touch.

Gyoza, on the hand, was normal, not fantastically good or bad~

Overall i might come back again and will try to order different sides/non-ramen dishes to try out since they offer many different selections!

An offshoot of kajiken, it's like kajiken with variations?

Super comes with 2 slices of each char siew(normal and ckn) as well as braised pork. The ckn char siew wasn't v impressive but it's not rlly their fault, ckn char siew is usually much worse. Braised pork was not stellar but it was less dry than it seemed

Ckn soup was pretty thick. Overall it's a passable bowl of ckn ramen

There's no cheese ramen, cheese is an add on.

The charsiew was decent and the grilled cheese could have been more generous but it, being torched, meshed well with the noodles.

The clear chicken soup given at the side was surprisingly superb, viscous and had deep umami despite the clarity. There's also a hit of ginger, only problem is it's too salty
