Had a great time relaxing there, including massage, free flow buffet dinner that includes Lala too. And also cozy off in the nice hot spa. Makes my body feel comfortable and soothing! Was a good experience

A nice delightful place with a Jacuzzi, sauna and some small bites as well, the meal is nothing special but it does have a nice touch of homeliness to it! Would recommend for those who want to get a good soak in for the purpose of rest and relaxation, and they have a spa area as well for massages and herbal hair treatment!

Japanese theme. I tried many things but didn't capture them. This is matcha crumble and matcha ice cream. Good stuff.

Japanese theme. I tried many things but didn't capture them. Ramen's from the live cooking station and it's alright, but the chashu was cheap.

Hotel buffet featuring Penang favourites like Penang Laksa, Prawn Mee, Char Kuay Teow, and even Ban Chang Kueh and Nyonya Kueh. While the buffet space might be small, there are plenty of options for you to choose from and we had a satisfying meal here. Special shoutout to the Ban Chang Kueh lady who was so friendly and kindly too!

Treat yourself to the ultimate day of relaxation and wellness! Unwind with a soothing massage, rejuvenating sauna, refreshing hot pool, and enjoy a free-flow buffet, snacks, and a cozy resting area for the perfect escape.

If you're in the mood for a satisfying Japanese buffet experience, Shin Minori is undoubtedly one of the better options around. The buffet offers an impressive variety of choices, including sashimi, aburi sushi, nori taco, sushi taco, inari, nigiri, maki, and temaki, ensuring that no one leaves disappointed.

The sashimi is a standout—fresh, succulent, and served in generous portions. Sushi lovers will also be delighted by the range of creative sushi, handrolls, and maki. Each piece is well-prepared and visually appealing, with unique combinations that elevate the dining experience.

With so many dishes to choose from, the extensive menu can feel overwhelming—in the best way possible. It's nearly impossible to try everything in one visit, which just gives you an excuse to come back for more.

Overall, Shin Minori offers a wonderful balance of quality and variety, making it a go-to spot for Japanese food enthusiasts. Whether you're a sashimi purist or a sushi adventurer, this buffet has something for everyone.

Last night, we embarked on another buffet journey at @foodcapital.gcw Food Capital, the buffet restaurant located within the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. The international buffet spread was truly impressive, offering a diverse range of dishes to satisfy every palate.

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were captivated by the stunning array of culinary delights. The seafood section was particularly enticing, featuring fresh oysters shucked to order and succulent snow crab legs. We were also intrigued by the giant grouper fish on display, which was used to prepare both a hearty fish soup and a crispy charcoal-fried fish.

Beyond the seafood, the buffet offered a wide variety of international dishes, including succulent roasted meats, flavorful curries, and delicate sushi. The sashimi selection, while not the most extensive, was still quite satisfying, with fresh and well-presented fish.

To conclude our culinary adventure, we indulged in a decadent dessert spread featuring a variety of cakes, pastries, and ice creams. It was the perfect way to end a truly satisfying dining experience.

First time at this outlet after the outlet at Katong closed down.
My favourite sushi is the aburi sushi! Also they have good sushi rolls.
Place was packed so be prepared to wait for your food, some of the food we ordered actually didn’t make it.
But overall for the price per pax, very value for money and would come back again!

Back for the third time this year at Shin Minori, and we’re still yet to conquer their extensive menu!😮‍💨 Since my friend is so obsessed with this place, I suggested he sign up for a membership. At the rate we’re going, he could collect points and earn some treats in the future.

Noticed they’ve increased the pricing by $3, but they’ve also added more items to their already gigantic menu. 😱

We always get their assorted aburi sushi and fancy nigiri because they're delicious. This time, the sashimi was a hit—tender and chilled to the right temperature. We had standard appetizers, though the onsen egg wasn’t as good as before. The small temaki options are great for those with a smaller appetite or just wanting a little bite. The grilled skewers and dishes were standard and a bit oily, but their shrimp items are exceptional. The grilled butter mushrooms were unexpectedly tasty with a fragrant butter flavour that usually doesn’t come through. Sushi tacos seem to be trending now. Avoid the carb-heavy dishes—they’re not worth it. However, definitely get the dobin mushi, a savoury teapot soup that warms you up and provides a pleasant experience.

Desserts are the usual fruits, mochi, and ice cream. The buffet also includes free-flow drinks.
