Top end French eatery at $50 - $100 per person level (less wine by glass and desserts). Comparable to highest end Restaurant in Shanghai and Beijing (where I live and work) food wise. Back to visit a close friend living nearby in rainy November. Le Petit Paris is a very unique and hidden gem in a quiet neighborhood. Ordered Chef’s Special (Appertizer) Fresh Burrata With Cherry Tomato Salad ($34) - Fresh Burrata (300g) with cherry tomato salad to share. They have a smaller portion. Served on a bed of freshly cherry tomato, french shallots and basil oil. The freshest of ingredients drizzled with a refreshing dressing that lingers in your palate. I ordered Salmon and wild mushrooms ($36 ) in a mushroom sauce (in photo). The Salmon was cooked to perfection (outer skin crust, tender soft meat with a tinge of fresh (sweet rawness) salmon in the centre. 9.5 out of 10 (could also taste a little of the Chef’s melancholy in the sauce). Value for money and will return for more before I head back to wintry Beijing.

Came here for the mentaiko Mac & cheese and it delivered. The Jamaican Chicken, Steak Frites and salted caramel bana waffle were great too. Free bread with butter and olive oil. Go for night menu

From TBB
The butter croissant (flaky yet airy) and hot mocha coffee (rich and creamy) simply for a deliciously indulgent breakfast combo that will satisfy the taste buds.
Go early for seats. ✌️

Poached eggs, grilled halloumi, spinach, tomato salsa, hummus, hollandaise. Okok, Abit oily, they have other better dishes.

Pork Rack, grilled baby cos, kipfler potato, bone marrow sauce. Meat is super soft, goes well with their sauce as well. Not salty.

This was the 1st dish I ever ate at Dutch Colony Coffee Co, and its perfect execution and delicious taste affirmed my desire to return for more.
.
The linguine pasta noodles bordered chewy and soft, piled high in the middle of the plate, coated in rich house-made pesto cream which is bright with vegetal milky herbal sweet earthy flavour.
.
Surrounding are juicy fresh cherry tomatoes with vegetal sweet notes, and chunky juicy boneless chicken thigh pieces marinated in a house spice mixture carrying addictive meaty spice savoury sweet flavour.
.
Finished with shredded parmesan cheese with cheesy salty notes, and a runny sous vide soft poached egg whose silky texture and eggy sweet flavour complements the pesto gravy excellently.

This was delicious.

Rwanda Nova beans with hints of redcurrants, black plums, and roselle. Very smooth texture and delightful flavour to the coffee.

Thick, fried pork belly embraced in two toasty, crusty buns. All was good, but what sealed the deal was the combination of daikon and zucchini pickles and rosemary plum sauce, which gave a very pleasant, appetising punch to the sandwich. It’s a huge portion for one, and I’d highly recommend sharing - especially when you can get their bakes on the shelf (the chocolate ganache cake was way too good).

Came here with my friend for lunch and we got the Bacon & Hash ($24), Mushroom Scramble ($17) and Sticky Date Pudding ($12).

Got the Bacon & Hash- housemade rosti, poached eggs, thick-cut bacon, wilted spinach and mushroom cream.

I love how the rosti was super crispy.
Poached egg were very plain and the sauce didn't really help.
Thick-cut bacon was less saltier then the bacon you usually get from the supermarket. However I didn't really like it as it did had a weird chemical(?) taste and was quite tough to chew.
Wilted spinach at the bottom added a good nutritional value to the dish.
Mushroom cream was quite bland and thick.

Mushroom Scramble- housemade sourdough, scrambled eggs, cauliflower, feta, crispy kale

Sourdough was nicely toasted with crispy edges.
Scrambled eggs were silky.
Cauliflower could be tastier.
Feta was ok.
Crispy kale added more texture to the dish.
Mushroom were good and earthy.

Sticky Date Pudding- banana, salted caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream

Sticky date pudding was disappointing. Pudding was like a cake. Overcooked.
Banana were evenly sliced.
Salted caramel sauce was really good. But tasted more like toffee.
Ice-cream was nice.

Overall enjoyed the mushroom Scramble and the potato Rosti. Maybe the next time round I would just get a plain rosti.
